| Quote Ivor C&G Scarf="Ivor C&G Scarf"One award missed off the list - Scapegoat of the Year. Rather a closely fought affair I would imagine. Thorman C won it the other year by a country mile, but this season?
As it's obviously a closely guarded secret, so will someone in the know tell us which one of Hodgson D and Brough D won it?'"
I'd say Dodgy - cos he's supposed to be dead fast - like 100 metres in 10 seconds fast, always run in a straight line, always beat every man he faces with his pace and score 50-60 tries a season or he isnt a decent winger !!

D Hodgson wins that award hands down!
i really rate brough, great in defence and coming into his own now with getting more responsibility in the team.

| Cant disagree with any of that well done to everyone! Just a quick question for the hodgson knockers tho, what exactly is it that you dont like about him and what exactly should he do to deserve some credit?

| i dont get how someone that can consistantly score trys in a season who is decent in deffence on most occasions and has a good rugby brain can be so not liked by people. what is a wingers main job my opinion is to score tries n be reasonable in defence which david hogdson slots into i mean he cnt be that bad when he scored 24 trys not all walk ins either alot had to be finished well

| I'm not one of D. Hodgson's knockers but I think the people that are getting wound up with his slow return of the ball from kicks.

| that annoys me but it is a problem throughout the team. Cudjoe and Brett Hodgson are both as guilty with kick returns.

| david hodgson goes into tackles make sure he has control of the ball m makes sure he doesnt lose it he takes it in takes the tackle makes sure he doesnt knock on then lets us have a base for a set of 6. he may not be the fastest but y does that matter when our play allows him not having to sprint 100 m in 10 second flat when we make brakes there normally through the middle or just on the edge of the pack do david hodgson doesnt need explosive pace when that happens

If this was a problem to NB it would have been addressed by now. He does the same thing week-in week-out.
I can only assume that after a few drags into touch last year it was decided that we would only return the ball up the middle of the park.

| hes suspect under the high bombs that come over too him
never backs him self when in the clear, too slow nowadays.
dodgy takler too, lucky he has good centres like lawrence and gilmour who can tackle.
only got one more season i reckon anyway, contract up at end of next season? then macgillvary can come in or alex brown from batley
i think macgillvary should already be in ahead of him anyway

| he is sound enough under the high ball and doesn't drop too many.
If he never backs himself then how has he scored so many tries?
tackle completion rate well over 90%. I don't recall many vital missed tackled he has made at all in his time at the Giants.
Centres are supposed to do far more tackling than wingers.
he has just turned 29 so should have a good 2/3 years left in him.

| the stella kid, I have to say, that I am in agreement on your opinion of David Hodgson. I will add that sometimes if he has been tackled into touch at any point during a game, this appears to panic him for the rest of the match, and even with a start on his opposing winger, he is still reluctant to run the ball along the touchline
