| He’s currently in charge of the Newcastle feeder club, who were in the playoffs last year the first he took over -and are currently at the bottom of the table ......Yep sounds like the man with the credentials for the job

| knew it would go down well with you jools.
bagging a coach (if announced) before he's even stepped foot in the country.
we as fans need to back him and give him a chance at the very least.
obviously thewlis saw something he liked in the interview or from what he heard from his mate nathan brown.

| And for when Jools says how do you know and defends him.
1 I was there when thewlis told brown not to quit as it would cost him money
2 baloo was very happy to tell everyone he got 70k to leave

Well you cannot dispute that.
Two seasons ago I said I would not go back to watching the giants until there was fundamental change at the club.
By that I did not mean tinkering with the players or the coach. Since then virtually everything that has happened at the club has smacked of either incompetence or something worse
The players signed, the length of contracts or what they have been paid.
Decisions in the back room .
For me although I have never said it the problem is Thewlis .
As long as he is there then I have no faith anything will change at the club.
No matter who we get it will fall apart with the incompetence at the top.
As long as Thewlis is there I will save my money.

| I agree completely ( along with another 8 people) we also sponsor a player. I have followed HRLFC for 40 years and won’t be renewing if Thewlis is in charge. I walked out of the last game v Salford not even caring anymore which is sad. The whole set up is a shambles as I’ve said on here for a long time.

I'm not sure I like Woolford, but to be fair, he took over a very young side last year who were at the bottom of the table about this far into the comp as well, and he improved them enough to make the finals.
This year the Knights shed 26 of their top 40, including all but 2 or 3 of last year's reserve grade team.
The side Woolford named for today has 8 guys who were playing under 20s last year, 4 who were playing country comps, 3 who were in and out of firstgrade, and 2 who were firstgrade regulars.

That would be enough to keep die hard Giants fans going in excuses for years to come.

Last season we scraped 8th place and avoided the playoff's
, Year before we avoided the MPG by a lick of paint, if we manage something similar this season "which looks doubtful" do you really see anything changing.
I'm not having a go at you here I'm genuinely interested in what you think will change, do you see any light at the end of the tunnel, I'm not sure i can even see the tunnel.
We are once again looking for someone to save us, nothing changed there, so is it just keep stumbling along the bottom till it's our turn.

| its a cyclical thing... we are in a hole at moment but the tide may turn in a few years once we have got rid of a bad batch of players that are contracted... got to ride the storm!

It's a fair enough call, If we have not fallen too far.

| Go Thorman, please for God's sake go. He is the last remnant of a failed, dysfunctional coaching set up, starting with Paul Anderson and continued by two Australian comedians.
Is there any wonder we have the worst gate in Super League with this style of 'five drives and a kick rugby' on display? Some players looking as though they aren't allowed to handle the ball- Rugby League is not rocket science. Something is to be said of the previous coaching set ups when some players that have been with the club 10 years, still can't pass the ball properly.
From top to bottom there needs to be a major overhaul of the club, and quick! We need a new broom with a sharp set of loppers to get rid of the dead wood- and there's plenty to go at.
