I don't understand why people knock his ability. Questionable temperament, sure. Needs careful management and can be a pain, yes. On top of his game is he a great player? Totally.

Agree Danril - we were weakened from the day he left us, what he does off the pitch etc shouldn't be used to judge him !

Unless what he does disrupts others around him.

I certainly wouldn't want him back - yes when he wanted to he played very well and was alongside eorl one of our best forwards - however in his last season appeared to be going through the motions and didn't seem to mix well with other players, after games when the others were applauding the crowd Griffin was usually on his own trooping off.
It's not good enough being a good player, it is a team game and if one bad apple is introduced, we all know the rest!!!!

He should be judged by his performances

Absolute rubbish.
He went from being a project player for us to being an established prop who took the attention of other clubs, such as Hudds.

What I didn't like as a Wakey fan was his obvious lack of effort and attitude when it was becoming clear his future was elsewhere - which resulted in his "teapot" nickname for just being stood there with his hands on his hips. This problem seems to have borne out at the other clubs he has been at and it is fair to say he hasn't reached the potential he showed when before he "made it" at Huddersfield/Leeds. I think most people agree he could be so much better.

If we didn't rate him we wouldn't have given a monkeys about him when he decided to jump ship.

i agree pocket 4 - the thing about darrell is we all wanted him as the player he'd showed he was capable of being and not the player he was actually being. It seems he seems to do the same at all his clubs he plays well - wants more and stops playing well when he doesnt get it.
