Agree with that, he should of gone earlier, and do not think the fans will be overly harsh on PA, what he's got to do is get us playing as a group, make the playoffs. I don't think fans expect us to rip up trees after the last 2 months, but put some pride back in wearing the shirt.

| Its a massive shame that its come to this, nathan brown has done very well for us,lets not forget that, he will always have my thanks for taking us to heights that us long standing fans could only have dreamt off a decade or so back, he turned into respected and sometimes feared opponents, however over the last few weeks, the fans have turned on him for his bizarre selections and tactics and it seems to have had an adverse effect on certain players, results and performances speak for themselves unfortunately and left the club with no option, all i can say is thank you nathan and good luck at saints and i hope most of us remember the good times we had with him not the last 8 weeks

| A certain inevitability to this action once the semi-final was out of the way. I guess the players have been unsettled since the announcement that he was going to Saints.
Looked early on that he was going to overcome it, but has clearly got worse. I dont suppose we helped signing KB for next season in such a high profile way.
Made a nonsense of his retaining the captaincy. Not sure whether him coming straight away was ever on the table (I suspect the money is all from next years budget, so it probably suited us to take him from 2013).
Clearly there have been other players unsettled and talking to other clubs.
At least Anderson has the opportunity to take control of things and can speak with the full authority of being around for a few years to come.

| Knew he was leaving if we failed to win the semi so wasn't really a surprise to me ...but although its a sad end to a brilliant time under him it had to happen, players, fans and no doubt coaching staff were all beginning to turn on each other so it was only a matter of time before this did happen.
Thank You Nathan for making me proud to be a Fartowner again and for putting my club up there challenging the 'bigger boys' - all the best to you and your family in the future and thanks for the memories !

Summed up perfectly by the lads.

| well its no surprise, 1 win in 9 and your always looking to be in danger of keeping your job
i said as soon as he signed for saints that if we had a bad run he would be off and its happened
not a great time for anderson to take over the top job..lets see if we can salvage something but if the run continues we have to be worried for the future
i can see purtill coming in very soon too
got to give brown credit he has taken us to the next level but just not got any silverware, improved players and brought youngsters through too but the time was right to go... hope we can continue his good work and not do the things he did badly...chopping and changing too much and struggling for another game plan when things start to go wrong!

| Disrupted season 2 saying he was leaving a the end of that season, but changed his mind (house burned down). Season 3 disrupted with more will he stay/go rumours & rumours of fall-outs/disruptive influences in the changing room, culminating in a damp squib end to the season. That should have been the point where the club said "thanks, but no thanks".

| Every coach has a shelf-life, and Brown went a season too far possibly.
Seems that 70% of your fans are basing opinions on Brown in regards to the last 8 weeks, rather than the really good job that he has done overall at your club.

| Agree with meast , dg et al and the sentiment in this thread.
He moved us up a level or two or three and gave us great memories and for that we thank him.
Time has come for a change for all involved.

| Nathan Brown given two extra games over John Sharp, but to be fair couldn't really get rid just before semi final match which would really have upset the players. When Paul Anderson and Keiron Purtill took over from Sharp the team started to play some really good football in the latter end of the season.
What I would like to know is, Was the same reasons present against Sharp as have been used against Brown. given that quite a few of the present players were there under Sharp. I agree with the fact that NB has done some good work with Giants and also agree that he has had one season too many.

| When Jon Sharp first left our next game was Wakefield when Purtil and Anderson was in charge. Ok we lost that game but when they was warming up boy did they look fired up. Hope he can do it again but with a better result this time! Bring on Wakey!
