when we are winning we get a bit of an atmosphere so does any other team. our fans need to improve on getting some fans to away games and getting behind the boys when we losing.

Britania rescue row DD, can hardly here the singing from there, only about twice a game, personally i always join in but the songs dont last long enough and they are the same old songs. But if you cant see that a drum does not lift a atmosphere and get people going then you need a reality check. Look how it lifts the crowd when Big g bangs his at the front of the crowd away from the singers, if the singers had one then people are more likley to join in. I have been to my fair share of Rugby and Football games to tell you it works, fact.

I would you suggest you come a bit further back. That way you can meet a few more of the people on here and also hear the other songs we belt out.

Just a thought....... if we are talking about supporting the team and trying to lift em when they need it then would it not be better if the "singing section" moved to a place where the would more likely be heard by the players?

If you cant really be heard from row DD then the players out in the middle are hardly gonna notice you are they?

sitting right at the back will only work in big numbers, near the front on the other hand, at the football for town games about 30 of us sat in the FML and stood up and sang at every game even if we did the stewards off, i dont suggest we sit there but lower down would be perfect. I am all increasing the atmosphere at games, because the players will notice, a thread a few weeks back had loads of good new songs about time we used them. Lets get some going on friday night, lets just do it!

the songs aren't new though we sing them home and away and have done for years now.i agree with eaton to a point that the occasional drum beat can perk a crowd up but when its banged continiously ,a la, wigan and warrington its annoying.
i also agree that the atmosphere is flat at home games even when we are winning, but i think thats got more to do with the type of supporters we have in the main, as wadski says only the few back rows create any kind of atmosphere, surely if the people who sit further down want atmosphere then they are more than welcome to join us for a sing song this friday

I am coming to the back on Friday with one of my mates, we are not scared to get songs going so i hope you join in. Come on lets make it a fantastic atmosphere.
