They had made a decision earlier in the week that the victors of the Giants vs. Hull FC game would be the team they would play. That's pretty logical and it also gives their team and coach plenty of preparation time, which is something Anderson has complained about - though ultimately that is the advantage of having the club-call; it is also an advantage that the Giants gave up by losing to Wigan.

The Giants have had some great games with Wire over the last few seasons and they've turned the Giants over a few times this season already.

However, if the Giants are to become a team that other teams want to avoid (ala Leeds) in the play-offs then they need to start winning games such as the one on Thursday and Warrington have provided that opportunity.

Should be a great game.

If i was a Giants player i would be going into every tackle thinking, " so you dont think i am good enough then take that".
That is the motivation that some players wil be taking with them.

You are blinded by this so called "arrogance" we are supposedly exuding, yet what you don't realise is that if the roles were reversed and results over the last couple of years were reversed, then you would have made the same choice.

Why all the whinging? Expected Wire to pick us - as did everyone I heard talking at the game last Thursday.
Given their recent record against us I fully expected it and would have done the same.
I assume they looked at this as whats the best way to the final and given that record they chose us. What Is the drama?
Only comment on the call is that Wire seem to have gone against their stance of picking lowest ranked.

As for comments about giving them a hard game and putting some of their players out of the final - 2 points on that absurd comment.
