| This has to be the cheapest ST in Super Dooper League ?
You're fans should back this with everything they have, yes some won't be able to go on a Friday or at least every Friday but you should be able to entice new or lapsed fans to take the offer.
Quite a few Leigh fans I know (myself included) are buying a ST regardless of not being able to attend all & often half the matches, it is more about putting our hard earned in to support the growth of the Club & hopefully secure our future in SL.
I understand that this *buying a ST* is not always a viable option for all, but where possible fans should embrace this offer & recruit as many friends & family to join them as humanly possible.
Best of luck with your ST sales, I for one hope you succeed.

| I have got 7 new juniors to buy them friends of my children who hopefully will remain fans. The strategy is poor though why stop on 24 Dec? After that £300 (seniors) who exactly is going to pay that? Unless I don't understand business we need to sell around 8k for this to be a success as they are approx half price of last season when we had approx 4K season ticket sales I would guess ( never any info from the club) by our average gates. The excellent interview with Eorl in League Express says he is still defining his role! I would have thought initially it is smacking them in the eyes unless of course they are selling so well he isn't required which if is he case shouldn't the media dept be shouting from the rooftops

| Considering the deadline for season tickets would have been last week in the past, sales up to last week we're the highest ever, 600+ of those we're either new or returning season ticket holders ....i guess to some thats still not good enough thought but under the usual deadline a record figure - another big push in the run up to Xmas is gonna take place.
Keep pushing them !!

Absolutely agree about the deadline and have told people at the club too before.
Why make people who MAY buy a ticket commit to it at the (usually) most expensive time of the year ?
How many potential sales do we lose from folk who think 'well i'd like to get one but there's no way i can afford it right now' ? yes there's the installment option but again, if you haven't got the money to afford it you can't do it.
People, i should imagine, will have more spare cash in January after the retail festival has ended so therefore may choose to get one then instead but by then they are expected to pay even more than the amount they couldnt afford in the 1st place.
If it was upto me i'd set an amount and leave it at that upto the eve of the 1st game.
I also understand the reason the club wants/needs to sell them when they do too.

| That's great news giantdaz I am delighted if that's the case as I said though lack of info on progress can't help ( look how Town went about it with admittedly much more resources behind it) The opening home game will tell us everything I suppose.

| To be fair we can't compare anything with town as it's 2 different sports/budgets/manpower etc.
football is king every where and folk will go to football just cos its football...getting them to buy a season ticket for rugby is totally different.

| True. I think they need to put restrictions on tickets to make sure people get them bought.
Town said that the first 10000 tickets only were on the offer so everyone rushed to buy them. I also created a buzz and everyone was talking as they had to act and get tickets asap, new fans and old. They then extended the offer to 15000 and I'm pretty sure that's about the number they have sold.
We could have done similar, first 5000 which we know we would sell at the early bird price then extend to 10000. We have gone for a time related cut off instead which I hope is just as effective.
