Quote: jools "Who has he dropped who has played better? He's moving players because we've started the season with two experienced players down unexpectedly and a plethora of injuries!'"

Experienced players or players who will give 110% for the club, know which i prefer

How far back do you want to go? Dropped Leeming and Connor in cup last year to bring Robbo and Ferres back in after injury, that ended well didnt it!!!! Did same to bring Ferres back vs Widnes away, again went well!!

Dropped Simpson last season after 3 great games to bring Grix back after injury, then trows Simpson in against Wakey when we under massive pressure, he had a mare but did we stick with him, did we bollox, if his confidence wasn't shot before it will be now.

Dropped Sam Wood after Wigan game (one of our better players on the day) to bring yet another star back into the side.

Does he learn does he knackers

Will eventually realise games aren't won on paper by having star names listed. We are bottom of league and deservedly so, only 1 man is responsible for moving players round every position trying to fit square pegs in round holes. Brierley is a 7 play him there, Simpson is a fullback play him there, Sam Wood is a centre play him there, Eorls game is to offload with 3 men tackling him, Huby's game is to offload, allow em to do it ffs not rocket science is it?

I don't buy the injury situation as an excuse. We started the season 4 senior players down (5 after ferres) on the year before, we were obviously light... unless Anderson is not involved in recruitment, then he's failed to forsee what we all could.

Anderson made a big deal of starting the season with a small squad but has overlooked the fact that should injury occur then he'd have to bring the youngsters in who are Not ready.....

Fail to prepare, prepare to fail.

So Sam wood and Simpson. So you would drop one youngster (comnor) for another (wood) and Simpson needed dropping after those shocking schoolboy errors! he needs to drop Murphy too on this years showing. dont play brierley at 7 - play him where he's been brought in to play at 1. He did a better job than Simpson! Never mind - grix will be back soon that will please you! Or hang on are you advocating changing the team around agai. For next week.......

See what you want to see as you always do Jools.

Brought in Brierley, played scrum half for 4 years scoring bucket loads of points but he's gonna play fullback for us.

Novel idea maybe we should sign Billy Slater to play prop or Gallen for the wing? Makes sense

Maybe in your world Anderson is above criticism cos we are 8/8 wins playing champagne rugby and sitting pretty at top of the league.

In the real world we have 2 points from 16 gained vs a very very poor Hull KR team.

Lost against Wakefield, Salford, Widnes, Catalans, Wigan, Leeds and St Helens

There's a lot of talk about players and positions and yes I agree we came in to the season too thin and it's cost us ,BUT I don't just think that's the whole problem, we have plenty enough Talent to compete , we just don't seem to have a game plan , the opposition seem to have us worked out , our old tricks just aren't doing it any more , time to come up with new plays and play to players strenghts . American football is all about plays and I know there 2 different games but I can't help feal we could take a leaf out of there book some times rather than the trundle up the middle hope for the best game we watch some times.

icon_thumb.gif Thanks for that flying wasn't aware we have two points. Wasn't aware those games I attended we'd lost but cheers!

Why shouldn't brierley play at FB- many Leigh fans think it would suit his game. Tomkins was a half too, oh and wasn't lomax?
Lawrence started as a winger, (then centre, then second row)so did kirmond, Leroy as a half back, Connor was a half back then full back now centre, Wardle moved into second row........

One minute you blaming us moving players from position to position for the pickle we are in next you are saying thats what we should be doing? Make your mind up.

You might not like the criticism been leveled at Anderson but thats where the buck stops, we have no idea with ball in hand, no line speed or aggression in attack, no passion, pride or will to tough it out to get the win.

You may accept 2nd best but that imo is unacceptable when wearing C&G

Yes I'm saying having an unsettled team has affected our season.
I'm also saying Brierleys place in our team isn't necessarily the position he's always played. Please think before you try and put words in my mouth.
If this team isn't acceptable then moaning about it doesn't help- getting behind the team might- but it seems you aren't willing to put the effort in to the team you seem to believe the players need to. Talk about double standards.

Most leythers have always thought of Ryan more as a FB than a half , again all depends on who you have available for each position , and how long you have to integrate them

We all got behind the team as usual today but it doesn't look right and we don't look fit organised or to have a plan B so acceptable no it isn't but that doesn't make us less of a supporter for stating the obvious.

I don't understand why people think Brierley can't/isn't a fullback?? Is it not obvious the value of having someone with good hands at fullback is? Have you forgotten about what Brett Hodgson brought to the team? Also, look at Gaz O'Brien, he has been one of Salford's best players after moving from half back to full back.

Briefly will do well at FB, he may take some time, but that will be his best position.

I can live with him at fullback, But at the Giants you have to do well in many positions. We have a very good centre who is at present being turned into a second row. If Brough stays I would see him playing alongside, We have a ready made ball playing LF in Ellis, Fullback is a position that has needed sorting for sometime, Wherever we play them they need to stay there and be given a chance, Normally when we get an injury we have a general move about to get the replacement on.

I have to disagree with you. Assuming you mean Wardle, then I believe he is better at 2nd row with Jake Connor at centre.. Jake has great skills and I've been impressed with him this year. Wardle is tough and aggressive and has always gone good at 2nd row. Ellis is never a loose forward.. We had Chris Bailey to run a ball playing loose role and never used him! With such a light inexperienced pack, we can't be playing ball players at loose.

I know Grix gets a lot of hate, but I think we desperately need him back in the team right now. Brierleys chance will come, we just need some experience on the field
