| Quote: anwar1983huddersfield "Salford knew we were disrespecting them with the squad we put out and went right at us and we had no answer. That was a shocking decision by Nathan to rest the players he did, Salford are a bit of a bogey side for us as well. I was happy for Salford that day, good club and decent fans and we got exactly what we deserved. Although to be fair our support that day was great. Typical the time we get a good away following, the team cacks it's pants.'"
True again. And Salford at home are never a pushover. Their crappy old ground isn't that hard to generate some atmosphere in, and they should never be underestimated, even though they are (on paper) not strong with loads of journeymen and not a lot of individual class.
As a unit, they can be pretty effective at home.

| Quote: Yettner "I left on 71 mins (the first time I have EVER left a game early) as I couldn't face the stick I'd have received from the Warrington fans. As for the 'Hodgson is a Wire' chants today, he might as well have been.......'"
I made young Raaaaymond still 'til the end, it's character building. Plus, for all the years of watching us get hammered, he now knows how I felt. What is really annoying is the fact thay are professional players today and that performance was far from it.
Hat's off to Wire, Briers kicked us to bits and every one of their players looked up for it from the start. I thought luke was our best player today (if you could pick one), Mase and Aspy put some effort in also but the rest just went thru the motions. I was hoping Brett would be going back to Warrington on the players coach but maybe that's a little harsh.
Kevin Brown and Robbo just seemed to click and it was all going well at the start of the season but the wheels are starting to coming off. Whether that is because Danny Brough has arrived or because of Hodgy going and NB's position is uncertain I don't know? What a day to put in a performance like that though, on TV, with a very poor crowd, again!!! That's not going to bring in new fans, although a fantastic performance on TV against HKR didn't bring any in today, so we are going to have win the Playoffs instead . Oh well, chin up and roll on next week, I wouldn't want to be Wigan, having to face us after a drubbing like that.

| The most disappointing thing for me was the seemingly lack of effort it was almost as if once wire scored we didnt have the belief or the balls to try and turn it round. Yet again our defence was shocking, our attack was completely anonymous our work rate was as low as i can remember under brown,i hope its just a blip and we turn the corner soon but its worrying how our form has suddenly dipped. On the brough thing, no blame on the player but we just dont seem to have that spark in attack as we did with brown and robbo in the halves, we seem very disjointed lately i just wonder if his signing has disrupted the team?also for me i hate to say it but if nathan brown and brett's hearts aren't in it any longer then we should thank them for everything they've done and show them the door,it cant be good for morale when the players know their captain is leaving and their coach is having doubts. . Sort it out soon please or our season could be over!

| Oh and just to add that warrington were a different class in every facet of the game, they ran hard and fast they tackled hard, they played as a team, attacked as a team, defended as a team while we just went through the motions, it was like going back 10 years seeing the gulf in class, and at least now these new fans can understand what we've been through for the last 20 years . . As woeful as we were wire we simply outstanding. . Good luck to them i say they are going to take some stopping

Danny Brough disrupt a team - surely not?!

| Quote: Danril "The Wembley turnout wasn't embarrassing. 20k+ turned up for us, it was just Wire took comfortably more than that.
The diehards deserve the very best because they've been and watched through some right crap over the last 20 odd years. For you to say we don't deserve the best is just ignorant and foolish. Come from where we've come from and tell me how your lot would do. Some of the oldskool fans we have are the mutts nuts, the best fans in the world. It's easy for some fans to sit in judgement but ATOETD if anyone knew half of what our club has been through then they wouldn't make such ignorant comments.'"
Make your mind up. One minute they're fickle, next minute they're not.
FWIW i'm not having a go at the diehards, I'm having a go at the half ar5ed ones who can't be bothered. The club is on the up but they still dont turnout to support the club. Did you really have 20,000 at Wembley? I was there and your end looked half empty.
Your "if anyone knew half of what our club has been through" has no validity whatosever. This is the here and now not 1984 at Arena 84 or the Huddersfield-Sheffield debacle (you didnt come worst off in that BTW). I'm judging your club on now and whereas you have a good base support there is clearly no hardened interest after that.
I fail to see how you can get anything like decent crowds going forward because you cant even get them in a time of relative success.

Brough certainly doesn't seem to be the player he was at Wakey and Cas and Hull - [iyet[/i. Wire were outstanding yesterday but sometimes these things just '[iclick[/i'. It's only just over a year since a very similar Wire team were murdered by 60 at Quins. OK, Wire were not good that day, Quins excellent, but, just like today, all of Quins kicks and long passes ( normally miracle attempts that come to nothing ) stuck, went to hand and produced scores. Don't forget also a few years ago Bulls lost by 60 at home to Saints but still won the GF three months later.
Wire are on their way to being an outstanding team, but Giants are a good team already and can get better. Do not despair as the club needs all its loyal fans now.
