Has anyone heard a whisper about Jordan Rankin being a possible target of the Giants, I heard that today. ( No idea if there is anything in it or not ) Very much a utility player and pretty much the same standard as Turner i would say.

Don't need another fullback- not sure he's what we want in the halves either. Wing/hooker/centre- he plays all over. Utility players are useful to have, but a team of them? Who is he better than who we would be happy to drop- and if he's coming from Aus it's an expensive player to not be playing. Either way we will have to lose a non-fed trained player to fit him in.

Not sure i would be busting a gut to sign him myself jools, He did seem to do a decent job at Hull as i remember but he never struck me as outstanding, though Hull fans would know more about him.

However it was only a whisper i heard and no more, It struck me as a funny name to just pull out of a hat though, so time will tell. The other thing is. Is RS sorting players out for next year and going forward.

If we waste a quota spot on Rankin we really are desperate.

Totally agree with you, I was just more musing about the future, who knows who will be here next season, except those on long contracts.

He's a decent fullback with a good passing game but isn't a very good half/winger/hooker. You're better off with Mamo

Jordan is a great player who offers a team huge utility value. But can also perform at a high level in a number of positions.

He debuted at 16 years old in the NRL. That is an unbelievable achievement, in fact it's almost an impossible achievement.

I would be ecstatic with this signing, I can finally see a squad that on paper is more than capable of competing with the best.

We don't really need him do we.. unless he's dirt cheap then he opens up some options. Especially with our recent injury luck we seem to have adopted last season.
However I'll give anyone a chance who's willing to put there body on the line for us.

You must have extremely low expectations then. He's a decent FB and can fill in in the halves but that's about it, although he is a pretty weak 1 one 1 defender.

Debuting at 16 is an incredible achievement yes, but he hardly played in the years after that in a team that struggled most seasons
