So Jake Connor finally announces on twitter he is at Hull next year ( hardly unexpected or a secret ) Still no official announcement from the club ( embarrassed ? ) In a week when we give a similar player a 4 year deal i.e. he covers similar positions in the squad are we getting compensation for losing one of our top young talents? If he's gone for nothing whose responsible for that if I was the owner I wouldn't be happy his best years are ahead great potential now lost to us !

He's gone and it's been known for months so just move on. Connor was a good player but his heart mustn't have been here as why would he discuss and agree terms with Hull half way through last season. I'm not too bothered he's left as we need players who want to be here who will put their bodies on the line for the Giants cause. He will be easily replaced and not missed next year.

If you really wish to know about Connor ring up the Giants and ask but I doubt whether you would be happy whatever they tell you.

Fair enough who am i to raise awkward questions about how the club is run! Good luck to Jake Connor at Hull i think we have lost a highly talented player for nothing and if the recruitment so far is anything to go by our sights are set on a different end of the 1eague to them anyway.

it's not the fact your raising awkward questions it's the fact that these questions we're asked and answered way back in June when all this happened.

As a Giants fan it wasn't exactly hard to not hear about this story, i can't understand why in November this has suddenly become news to you!.

A bit of both Joe, PA apparently didn't have him in his plans so that's when the Hull thing came about and Jake took care of his own future, RS came in liked what he saw and wanted to keep him, hence JC making an apparent U-turn and saying he wanted to stay. Obviously the club couldn't find a way of keeping him so the deal went ahead.

I'm surprised PA didn't want Connor - as he kept trying to shoehorn him in The squad in different positions.

Me too considering he once said Jake hasn't got a specified position, he's so good in lots of them.

Something must have changed to change his mind, but you knew yourself Rick wanted him and tried to keep him.

Well he won't have a position at all next season! But hey- chance for wood, Simpson or Darnell to step up maybe....
