| Signed a 2 year deal at Wakefield.
He's been a very good servant to us but sadly i think he will be remembered as a scapegoat for the team's failings, never the fastest or most skilful player, and sometimes suffered from a lack of confidence, but his organisational skills at the back will be missed, although most people don't see that side of his game.]
He always gave his all and wore the shirt with pride.
I think the time is right for him to move on, he's been part of a successful time at this club over the last few years and deserves more respect that he has been shown, but that's people's prerogative.
Good luck Grixy and thanks for 6 years service

| I would like to add my Thanks to Grixy and wish him all the best for the future.
I am ashamed to say that I have called him in the past re dropped balls, but realised my mistakes some time ago after talking to a couple of the players who explained exactly what he brought to the team. I have no Rugby League history myself so as a speccy only really noticed the dropped balls. But as Eorl said, he's our mathematician he has all the numbers in his head re player positioning and knows where everyone should be defending. When the players are running back into the defensive line they have no idea how the opposition are stacking up their numbers so they all rely on Grixy to tell them. He is held in massive esteem by all the players and now we know why every coach has picked him.
So I would like to apologise for calling Grixy in the past and again, massive good luck in the future, except against us!!

| we all knew he was leaving, works as hard as anyone at the club and given a good service
safe as houses under the high bomb , backs up and organises well
but slow, poor one on one defence and adds little to an attack when coming into the line.

| Stepped into massive shoes in Hodgy and has generally been a good servant. The away league game at Wigan in the build up to the league leaders shield is what I will remember him for, outstanding that game and scored a great solo try.
All the best at Wakey Grixy!!

This this and this!!!!!!!
One other thing to consider- weve heard these last few weeks from Ellis, Eorl, hinchy, Jerry, symonds and others -all been all talk about playing for their mortgages/livelihoods etc.
Grix was one of those who didn't have to worry about that as he was already sorted he could have shown an "I'm all right Jack" attitude- but he was one of most spot on players the last two games!

| Ive called him in the past for his errors, and he could make some bad calls for sure
But his long term injuries this season have showed in our results for sure. An excellent servant of the club and a player thats achieved on hard work alone
Good luck Grixy

| Best wishes to Grixy for the rest of his RL career, I hope that he finds continued success with Wakey except against us of course.
Would echo the comments about his professionalism in giving 100% in our qualifying games despite having secured his move away prior. Not sure we would have beaten Leeds and KR without him so for that we should always be grateful to him.
One of those players who always divided opinion amongst the fans but has been a great servant to the club and when on his game could be a game changer.
Best of luck Scott - you will always be a Giant!

| I wish to thank Scott for the fantastic service he's given this club, he was an integral part of getting us to be a force in SL and more recently certainly did his bit to keep us in it, those who understand the game and his role in the team will appreciate what he did.
The stick he got off our own fans, on forums such as this, but more worryingly, personal stuff while he was out on the pitch giving 100% for this club was at times embarrassing, cringeworthy and at times damn right rude....such people should be ashamed the way they treat this guy, he was never the worlds best player but he was at this club to do a job and 99 times out of 100 he did it - and very well too.
Sorry you had to enure these people Scott, it's been a pleasure having you at my club, thank you and good luck for the future - Always a Giant !!

| One fan said to me that the only good thing about our game against Salford was the fact that Grixie got injured and could be out for a while ,disgusting comment to make from a so called Giants fan

| Quality player IMO.
Did a terrific job in stepping into Hodgson's boots. And at his best he was a very good player for us indeed. There were some matches where he was unplayable, popping up everywhere and joining the line. On top of that, he seems to be the sort of man who just got on with it - put his heart and soul into it despite the flak and the messing around (like when Brown decided that Greg Eden was the second coming of Billy Slater)
We'll miss him I reckon, more than we expect to.
All the very best at Wakey Mr Grix.

| We missed him most of this season!
But what he brought was unseen by many, kind of like Crabtrees contribution to the team

| He followed a top man, in a very difficult position that gets a lot of exposure, He did organise the defence well, and he was pretty sound under the high ball, His running the ball up was just about as poor as it gets, and his 1on1 defence left an awful lot to be desired. That said he was not the worst player in our side by any means.
Fullback was always his best position, right back to his Widnes days, He has done very very well to get another S league club and i wish him well but it was time for him to leave us, we need an all round fullback not just one to organise.
