| I was at the game yesterday and in the first half witnessed the worst performance by any Giants/Fartown team in nearly 60 years of being a supporter of the club. It was embarrassing. The academy would have put up a better display and would have provided more resistance. I don’t mind losing if we give our all, but what I saw was a team of players not up for the fight, no spine, no passion and totally over run by a team from the lower division. You let the supporters and the club down.
There are many people, like myself, who care about the club. It’s part of our lives. But currently all I can see is us heading for the Championship and possibly years in the wilderness. It may not matter to some of you guys if we are relegated. Simply sign a contract with another club and move on. However, it’s a big deal to me, all the supporters and for the future of the club. All of you need to take a good hard look in the mirror and ask yourselves did you give everything ? Are you up for the fight ? If not, then stand aside and lets play someone who is.
You have 2 to 3 games to put this right. We have the ability in the team to get us out of this mess. You need to start providing performance that the loyal supporters deserve and maybe, just maybe, we will avoid the drop.

| That game pretty much mirrored what happened against Salford. A mistake from the first kick off and asses dropped out. They are a set of good individual players but a simply awful team. Selfish, Spineless and bottleless.
I have been watching hudds for longer than many of those players have been alive- I watched us get hammered week after week after week. The players had their backsides handed to them on a regular basis but showed more heart and desire. We have better players man for man than Leigh. But Leigh have a team that is a million times better.
Whatever has happened in that camp to turn us from the best defence in SL to a set of quivering jellies.
Players- you need to get together do some soul searching and build the bridges to put right what has gone wrong. Remember you can move on to other clubs. As fans we are left with the mess you leave behind.

| great posts and sum up perfectly what most of us feel this morning!
I can handle getting beaten, i can stomach getting a caning from a team with better individual players, what i cannot accept is good players, (and most of them are let's be real), who show no passion, desire, heart or look like they care, show some fight and heart and pride in the shirt or pay your contracts off and move on!

I don't like singling out individuals, but there were a few yesterday who didn't look like they cared. and that's not acceptable IMO.

Why would you want to keep the players who have got us where we are, Is there reason to believe they could get us back up, I think not, they have had a whole season of gradual deterioration, Should we go down, i would be looking at it as a chance to get rid of a lot of them, They clearly don't care overmuch for the club.

| Well no one can blame Grix for this embarrasing shambles of a game, Leigh did there homework well and targeted Mgillvery as they know he goes walk about from his defensive position , Connor as usual was rubbish , and of course a lot of fans were asking ,,, why no Brierley ???

Personally, speaking as a Leigh fan, I don't think yesterday would have been a good game for Ryan to play in. I think things would have been far too emotional for him to play. The players would certainly have singled him out for special attention, as apparently did some of the "fans." I hope to goodness that the stories of abuse he suffered are not true. Whatever the circumstances surrounding his departure, folk have short memories - he was a hero at Leigh for three years, but the time came, I guess, when he just had to move on. Ironically, his departure (and Chase's) probably contributed more than anything else, to our eventual success, as we managed to get Josh Drinkwater - and his partnership with Ridyard has been sublime.
Having said that Ryan shouldn't have played, I would question the continued selection of someone (Connor) who seems very keen to depart from the Giants!

He's not as keen to depart as Hull FC make out. But I agree he has little reason to wish the Giants remain in SL. In fact if we were to be relegated it would solve some of his problems for him.

| Fantastic first post, absolutely hit the nail on the head.
Not sure I would manage to put it so well if I could get in the dressing room with them after that yesterday.
The late surge of points papered over some cracks and I fear that may feed the bad attitude amongst the players. Yes it was a bad 50 minutes, but that 50 minutes was part of an 80 minute game,so it was a pitiful performance. We were extremely lucky to get anywhere near them by full time and there should be no papering over it and no positivity given to the players over their 'response' in the second half.
It's all been said. Their jobs aren't on the line, just means their agents will be busier than expected over the coming weeks/months. All whilst our club potentially slides away from where it fought so hard to get to. And the majority of the 17 guys with that in their hands aren't too fussed.
It's just so sad.

I just wish I could have all the money back I've spent since we came back into superleague- I'd be able to pay off my mortgage and Maybe even have enough to put a deposit down on the house next door!
