tough start, could be argued salford wouldnt even be in the middles 8's if they didnt have the point deduction

not a great record away at salford, infact the giants probably have one of the worst away records of all the clubs in super league.

rick stone has had another week to influence the team and we have a strong squad now

win and it will go a long way to securing our place in sl next year, lose and the away game at leigh will be even bigger!

Our most difficult fixture first.

A win would set us up for a good run.

A loss , and then We really have some must win matches squeeky bum matches.

I'd rather play them now and get them out the way. It would be a great confidence boost if we win or if we lose we are following it up with the 'easier' games.

I think Stone will need a full pre season to be the heart of the team. It's certainly up to our players to get us out of this mess.

Any news on our injured players?

Will be a very good opener and IMO should of been on sky instead of the bumming Leeds get off Sky. Could go either. Think we'll line up something like this...

yes I certainly would but I don't think stone will. I think he will pick players like Taai and symonds who he has more knowledge of.
Anyhow Jerry is out injured - possibly for some time - so unfortunately looks like we will have Connor in the squad instead. Unless symonds plays centre and he plays Lawrence in the second row.

If Jerry is out then that is a big blow. However how do you come to the conclusion Stone will leave Lawrence out when he has talked about the need to improve defence and cut out silly mistakes.

Got my tickets today- ironically the north stand is called the wooden spoon stand. Thought it was koukash having a joke at our expense at first!
First day on sale and sold about 150 adult tickets already and plenty of junior swaps
Remember guys the Giants receive money if you buy through the club, and if you don't you have the debacle of having to stand in a massively long queue with extremely slow service to go get your tickets from the ticket office, then walk all the way round to the turnstiles to get in. Not to mention it's an extra £5 for the privilege.
Let's hope we can take at least 1000, get behind the lads, and cheer them on to a win.

It should be one hell of a game. Two well rested sides going out to put down a maker and gain a vital 2 points. Excited for this game!

Reading the comments made by Stone in the last few weeks I think many people are going to be disappointed. There have been loads who have moaned that under PA we played a "boring" game of rugby. It sounds that Stone is even more in the mould of playing safe defensive rugby than PA was, so don't be expecting an expansive game. Expect safety and defence to the fore....
