Joined hull kr on loan for the rest of the season

I don't think that's any great surprise. It seems certain he's leaving at the end of the season, he hasn't come close to getting his form of last season (mind you that could be said for most of the team) and when he wasn't even if the 19 for the Cas game the writing was on the wall.

From Thewlis's comments he won't be playing for us again so I wish him all the very best for the future. I thought he was outstanding for us at times and key contributor to last seasons success.

Agree! Would say he was certainly off! Was great for us last year but with ferres owning the left and taai, Patrick, Bruno, chan and Fairbank (when back) fighting over loose and the second row spot it just too competitive!
Taai and Patrick are making more impact in collision now and run aggressively and Bruno is a tackling machine!

With taai Patrick and Bruno playing well chan is surplus to requirements and a good money saver IF hull kr are paying during his loan period!

Good player and key part if what we achieved last year and won't be forgotten any time soon!

Sensible move, he's obviously not signing a new contract and Baloo doesn't seem to keen on him at the moment so good move, Been a good player for us and was superb last year. Shame he hasn't done it this !!

A cracking player having a bad (by his standards) season. I've enjoyed watching him play and I'm sad to see him go.
He'll go well for Hull KR as he would for any team in SL.

Personally I would of liked to see him finish out the season and challenge people for places or even just come in the give the players higher in the pecking order a rest.

I wish him luck for future.

bit disappointed really, i rate him very highly, he was a major player for us winning the first league title in 81 years.

but his form this year hasn't been great and looks like we have seen the last of him in claret and gold, a real shame i think

no surprise he has left, he is going at the end of the season and cant get in the team at the moment either, not been in form but he is not the only one.

he is behind a number of players now and on circa 100k a year so we can use that money on bringing a new player(s) in.

no doubt on his day he is a good player , good hand off and can put a good shift in tackling. Often runs sideways and prone to injuries...been out with knee and bicep injuries long term before.

Hate to be the one to spread rumours but I have heard he was causing unrest in the squad! I hope not as he is/was a great player and influential last year

Chan, Kafusi (excuse the spelling) and Lunt all have the same manager/agent who is demanding a shed load more money for them per game for all of them and trying to blackmail the club. As a result we have stopped playing them all until it's sorted out one way or another. Think Chan leaving may be an indicator of how they are sorting out the Chan third to the conundrum. Imagine Kafusi will go the same way, just hope that something can be sorted out for Lunt!

There's nothing to sort out, the players have a contract which was signed by all parties. The scum that are AKA agents are the ones causing problems in our game because it's all about making money for themselves. If the players don't like their contract half way through the term it's tough, either get on with the job or you know where the door is. No club should put up with any blackmail from anybody.

Great theory except Lunt IS genuinely injured and kaufusi played last week....
