| Salford seem to be improving lately and were unlucky to lose at Castleford. The Giants will need to concentrate for 80 minutes on Saturday.

| I agree, they have the personnel but we have the winning mentality and are at home so expect to win
no ferres or muprhy... might see lunt return
hope the backs start to perform... mcgillvary needs to improve in defence and broughton needs to get upto speed with the game

| I think they are a poor side, but they have some damn good dangerous players if we're not on the ball.....been a bit of a bogey side for us down the years and if we let them get on a roll we may struggle.

| It sounds like Kevin Locke will be available to play against us on Saturday.

| before we know it it will soon be playoff time we need to start gearing up for it. unlike brearly i still think our pack is where the problems are we have been winning but every team bar London have been massively depleted,. not our fault can only play whats in front of us.But we shouldn't be getting carried away. Time to stop giving away stupid pens stop the suicide rugby ,as i said soon be playoffs you cant pull a switch and suddenly find top form need to start building now

| I can see this game either being a close game or a comfortable win depending how we play, I reckon we will carry on our winning mentality though and grind a win out. COYG

| Horrible feeling were gonna lose this one. We're still patchy performance wise, and at some point were gonna come out with the sticky end of the stick. Salford a bit of a bogey team, Locke in for them, ferres out for us, yeah I'm not digging this one.
That said, COYG smash 'em!

Totally agree, we need to get it sorted soon before it's too late.

| All eyes will be on Locke - remember that being the case when a certain Mr Mason arrived at KR - look how well that game went!
Im hoping we put a few past them - they are third from bottom, I dont think one player is going to have them playing like they are top of the league - even Andrew Johns in his prime!
HOWEVER the key will not be how salford play - it'll be how we play - and as we know thats anybody's guess at the moment!
On our game, with the right attitude, we have nothing to fear.

In a perverse way I think Locke's debut may just help us Jools. The lads are less likely to be complacent, which seems to me our biggest fault. We shall see.

| I'm with Jools on this one. One player, however good, is not going to suddenly make Salford a side to be feared - they should already be fully respected, as any Super League club should be, but we should have nothing fear except ourselves.
We seem to be trying our best to find ways to lose at the moment - and thankfully failing at it - but sooner or later that will catch up. I think what PA said after the last game says it all - imagine how good we could be if we could keep hold of the ball.
Until we stop dropping the ball and giving away daft penalties every game we play is going to be a very nervous experience for us lot!

| Lunt still out and kaufusi still fails to get back in the squad. Ferres named and may play depending on how he goes in training Friday.
Locke and Caton-Brown in the Salford squad.
looks like Kooky - err sorry Harris, is after the win rather than "saving" Locke to pull in the crowds at home next week.
Could be an interesting contest between the sex offender and Broughton - with both having pace as the main feature of their game. Broughton needs to show who's boss! - Murphy had the measure of him. Surprised to see hock as it sounded as if he'd be off for a bit after coming off against Wire last week.
Giants:-
Scott Grix, Jermaine McGillvary, Leroy Cudjoe, Joe Wardle, Danny Brough, Luke Robinson, Eorl Crabtree, Craig Kopczak, Brett Ferres, Jason Chan, Chris Bailey, Michael Lawrence, Larne Patrick, David Faiumu, Ta’ai, Kyle Wood, Jodie Broughton, Anthony Mullally, Josh Johnson
Salford:-
Ashurst, Caton-Brown, Chase, Evalds, Fages, D Griffin, J Griffin, Hock, Johnson, Lee, Locke, Morley, Puletua, Rapira, Sa'u, Tasi, Tomkins, Walton, Walne
Referee: Robert Hicks
