With our recent form against Wire why wouldn't they pick us?

Oh no don't play like you want to win! What do you expect? We had to pick someone. Like Barry Mc said on backchat. No one needs extra motivation at this time of the season and if they do then, they shouldn't be playing.

He never said he wanted to go home....Leeds offered him a job which was obviously better than what we offered him and he took it, no problem with that.
I have nothing but great respect for Tony Smith as a person and as a coach.

Every team would have picked us if they had the chance, we have to accept that and carry on doing what we have been, no big deal, let the team use whatever they need to use as motivation.
We are acting as if we have been stitched up or hard done to here.....its just the next game in our quest to reach the Grand Final, lets just turn up and support the lads as best we can, whoever we play against !

I have no problem with who Wire/T Smith chose it was their choice but We want to play Huddersfield as I/we believe it gives us the best chance is the truth so why not just turn up and say it !!! That I could respect not all this crap that he has spouted !!!

Sorry, i dont get the point your trying to make here. They picked us as most of us knew/thought they would, they dont have to necessarily explain why they chose us, the weren't under any oath or anything, everyone knows why they picked us.

Let's face it, it was blindingly obvious who'd get chosen. I'd have picked us if I'd had the choice. We're unproven at this level and potential intensity. You'd have to be bonkers to pick Leeds before us.

Cant agree with that. I don't think anybody thinks we have been hard done to here, and I honestly wasn't bothered who we play.
But for Wire to pick the League Leaders to play instead of a team who just scraped through on Friday, playing a team with a none existent attack, had injuries during the game, hammered them last week and are ranked third, is just surprising. What they are basically saying is we are the easy option. That is a massive piece of arrogance from Tony Smith and his crew.
Thinking about it now this decision was made a while ago, hence the reason TS was trying to distance himself from the decision.

..But that's the whole purpose of clubcall, the team with it gets to choose who they want based on their opinions of the available clubs. If they consider us the weakest team then they have to justify it by beating us otherwise they will look pretty daft.

Don't understand how just using an advantage they have been given - due to us losing it - is classed as arrogant.

got to agree with all you say daz, imo we are the side wire should have picked makes no difference to the giants we just need to go there and win, we dont need any motivation the motivation is the grand final bring it on, only downside for me its a thursday night another day at work begging tomorrow.

You absolutely peaked last Thursday against us and will struggle to hit that level of intensity again a week later. smith knows that and it's why he chose you. The other option is the team who have won 5 of the last 6 grand finals. Not much of a choice IMO. Hope you beat them though
