The mighty Owls won 4-2 at Oldham to progress, and this week sees the League campaigns open up...

great weekend for leeds and rangers. even though town lost to a very late goal i believe they played ok and wont be too dissapointed if they can perform to that standard every week

Nope, 2 games without Rhodes and not a sniff of a goal according to my mate, gonna be a real struggle for them i feel .

Wednesday came back form 2-0 down at half time for the 2nd time in a week, drawing 2-2 with Derby.
a fairly good start for most Yorkshire teams and Sam will be delighted with the homecoming victory at the Chucklevision Arena i bet

The worrying thing about Town was that despite the fact they were pretty good throughout, it's yet another stoppage time goal from a set piece. That's been a problem for a number of years.
I like Lee Novak, but don't think his touch is good enough for Champo level, especially when he's asked to play on his own up top. I think they need a centre-forward and a centre-back with a bit of pace before the window closes.
Oh, and Keith Southern will be suspended before August is done. He's a walking yellow card.
