I would be surprised if we made any more major signings. Maybe a young lad or two but I can't see us having much space under the cap for anything else.

Is anyone else on here a bit underwhelmed by our signings (lack of) this season? Don't get me wrong I'm made up by the long term deals given to grix , Jerry, Leroy etc and think the club is doing things the right way- and although Jason chan seems decent enough he's not exactly what I think the giants need. lots talked about our forwardS but what really worries me is the loss of hodgy- we have a solid big winger in Jerry - I think we need a fast set of feet on the other wing who can chase the kick and beat the opposition.

If Kevin Penny could catch, he'd be great!! Brisco at Hull would be my choice.

pace to burn. Pace kills teams off and we have no lightning quick players, could this be due to the SL teams going for power and bulking up?

days of the skinny fast winger are gone mate, they need to do lot more work these days, mcgillvary has made most yards for us this year and most of that has been taking it up in our half. did see two young welsh lads last week though who were like lightning and are big and powerfull, if you go for pace like penny or chisholm at leeds you sacrifice what they can handle in defence, penny scores 4 but lets in 5 or 6 as they use him like a turnstile

cant see many more players coming in...the squad is big enough as it is and with the long term improved contracts being dished out the salary cap will be near full

never knew that, shame for him. Hope all his problems are sorting themselves out.

I was wondering how he was going on this season, earlier in the week. Guess that answers that - a shame really when you consider how good he was looking at the start of the 2010 season (particularly his MotM performance at Wakefield in the 52-0 tumping).

I'd happily take a 27-28 man squad of quality, than a 37 man squad with a few good faces.
