| Cas, Dragons, and Crusaders, l see no reason whatsoever, why we should be going to the shay, the matches involved could be re-scheduled, at the beginning or end of season, like in the past.
first time ever l have not renewed my season ticket, l will be going to as many games as possible, including my annual trip to MM and Catalan , but l will boycott these games. lt hurts. but sometimes you have to stand up and be counted.

| If we swapped the three games we play at the Shay for their equivalent fixtures then, excluding Magic Weekend, we would play 9 of our first 12 games at home followed by a period of 8 consecutive away games. How would the club cope with no income for 10 weeks and how would they maintain interest in the Giants without a home fixture for that period of time? That is assuming the other teams agreed to the switch, which is unlikely as it would affect their income streams as well.
I can't imagine the club wants to play three games at the Shay but it has to be done and we should support the club.

| the last time we were disrupted,(for re seeding) about 4-5 years ago, we rescheduled the games, we went 6-7 weeks in the summer with no home games, Wigan have done the same, so why are we having to roll over again and move out of our stadium, Town stand their ground they won,t budge.
l live in Portugal l,ve already booked 8 flights, l travel thousands of miles each year, l support the Giants, are they supporting me? 13 games a season
and we have to move. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, l don,t want this to deteriorate into some slagging match, but l will not be told what to do, this could, and should, have been handled differently, l have made my views known to the club.no doubt when l get back there will be a letter asking why l havent renewed, they will get it again.
ps. there could be a few sinarios, ie. if its deemed a success maybe we could be back there next year as well, l don,t even want to think about it.

This is a full pitch relay not a reseeding. Because the pitch is 20% plastic it has to be completely pulled up and then put back down again and given plenty of time for it to take. The only other time this has happened was when the pitch was originally laid.
I believe there may be a bit of back scratching going on with 'fax. Their SL licence application will have the same point as Widnes' that an SL club is using their stadium in 2011, this may work in their favour too.
The biggest issue I have is that, even though we are season ticket holders, we have to go to the ticket office and exchange the match tickets for new ones. Surely this could have been sorted with Halifax that we can use our existing match vouchers?

| Good points Wadski, but their not scratching the fans backs, the last league game is Saints in May, the next home game is HKR the last day in July, no doubt the 3 cup games if we get that far will also be moved or we will get the our ball from the fridge, thats 3 months, not on Wadski, and as you say there even going to make it difficult to get advanced tickets.
Are they laying on extra buses? ln your dreams, l don,t want to go on, let me get the bottle

| Can kind of see where you're coming from but equally it's a difficult one. It's a full relay, it's going to to take more time than what's gone on here and at Wigan before. The seeding job is a summer one so the football club can't really come into it. You can't relay a pitch as easily in winter so it makes more sense to do it in our season as opposed to theirs. As a club we're losing lots of money every season and KD foots the bill for it; I'm not sure it's on asking him to foot the bill for coaches when it's already going to cost him extra with us playing these games at 'Fax. It's a couple of quid on the train.
It's not ideal but as you've said in a different thread, you've got to stand up and be counted, every ounce and all that.

| From my point of view I hate the fact 3 matches and part of my income is going to Halifax! Halifax want to use their own from stewards to turnstile operators, which is probably why this ticket exchange is in place though I can't see why they can't use the stubs from the booklets!
But the pitch has to be completely dug up and the stadium did host a pre season friendly between Burnley and Stoke due to Burnley's restructured pitch being behind schedule so fingers crossed the KR match will be played as if it's moved then the stadium could lose a semi final too!!

| Agree Danril, we are loosing money, another reason to re-schedule the game for after the relay, lmagine if by mid July we are in the top5-6 with
7 games to go, and 5 are at home, lots of interest, and potential bigger gates, and home advantage. The more l go on, the worse it sounds.
but l really think we are in for a good year, and this won,t help, either on the field or in the coffers, We will see.
Back to UK in 2 weeks then straight of to Cardiff, thats if they,ll let me on the bloody plane

| I cant believe how single minded you are, not having a go. But what you want the whole season to be moved because a man who lives abroad does not want to travel a extra 20mins to the shay for 3 games. Good god, honestly. In Union Wasps are playing Quins in Abu Dhabi i bet their fans are ed off but Huddersfield > Halifax, true thats so far away.

| I'm really looking forward to this - Big 6, Pumproom, Three Pigeons
Not only that but our crowds should create a great atmosphere in a ground the size of the Shay

| Eaton, l am as single minded as the next man, l,l tell you what, you do what you want to do, and l,l do what l want to do, l had an opinion and l expressed it, lts not a question of money, its not a question of miles.
You may not like or agree with what l say, but as the man says lf you believe in democracy, you will believe l have a right to say it. l have already said l don,t want to turn this into a slagging match, but some people enjoy that. l,m just getting something off my chest, live with it.
