| Not that I don't trust Grix, just that I don't trust Grix. He looks more offensively positioned than defensively positioned, and I just think Phelps or Greenshields would be better.

| A fullbacks job is the counterattack, not just final act of defence, like wingers on the end of kicks, if it gets there the rest of the team hasnt dont their job well enough in defence.

| With us losing so many players and at least two of our overseas players I would not be surprised if we haven't at least spoken with Cameron Phelps.

| Wadski, the club have no interest in Cameron Phelps. No better than what they already have at the club

| We have Grix, Cudjoe, Elliott Hodgson (Duel Reg @ Batley) and Gregg McNally (Ireland International Full Back) who can all do a job at Full Back.
I'm not overly concerned

| Cameron Phelps is an average player who did well in an average Wigan side. Once they moved up the table he couldn't get in the team.
Giants should be aiming for much higher quality signings.
Leave the likes of Phelps to smaller less successsful clubs like Leeds and Bradford

| If we're going to recruit from overseas then the player must be truly top class.

| Was very impressed with McNally at fullback for Ireland, hope he gets a chance there at some stage next season.

| Grix will do the job for you, he won't have the impact that Hodgson had obviously, but he played at Full Back for us and Leigh so he's pretty familiar with the role. And McNally although I can't comment on his defense, his positioning and (counter) attacking skills are phenomenal.

| I think a mix between Grix and McNally would be good this season, get a feel for them both, play Grix in Centre when McNally is at fb. I'm slightly more confident, I was impressed with McNally when I saw Ireland Scotland.

Couldnt agree more.
Personally I am of the opinion that unless its a [icurrent[/i Aussie or Kiwi international then we shouldnt bother.

Good quality player. If you have a top conditioner + rehab man (and physio) could certainly do a job for 2011. Even with top sport science guys I would be loathe to risk 2012. At the Bulldogs he required lots of 'rehab' week to week in 2010.
Have salford got a good conditioning team, better than 2010, as players like Patten / Wild / Anderson need top notch support to get them through a season.

| l,m with conor, you have to give youth a chance, l don,t care lf we loose a few games, ultimately, we will strike gold, no P&R, we have nothing to loose and much to gain, l would like us to sign overseas players , but only if they are top quality, players we have signed eg Mcnally, Wood, Wardle, Carlyle, have to get blooded, and sooner, rather than later.
