| The best side lost tonight. Even Wigan fans have to agree with that if they are being honest.

| Hi This is my first post and i have to agree. Thought alot of positives to take from tonight. Thought young lads stood up well. If we had been a bit more disciplined and not given so many stupid penalties away ( yes i know Bentham is a ***icon_cool.gif but we were at fault with a number when we had them in their half.
On the negative side why were so many of our players suffering cramp. I maybe can understand the young lads but got to wonder about the conditioning

| Ellis my mom. Did some very good stuff under pressure. Short kicking excepted.
Sam wood - take a bow lad. Some fantastic tackling and a very self assured performance.

| Wrong result tonight! All the players raised their game and should be proud of their efforts tonight. Particular praise to Jamie Ellis, Sam Wood and all the other young'uns chucked in at the deep end against a decent Wigan side.
Sam Tomkins, sat just behind us in the stand, also seemed relieved when the final whistle sounded.
PS; apologies for my big screen gesticulation aimed particularly at Bentham and Matty Smith - not big or clever!! (Hope my Dad wasn't watching!!)

| Great entertainment and all round performance. Really did stick to them attack wise, thought Leroy really ran his weight tonight, really played with responsibility of a senior player. Ellis my mom just unfortunate about his grubbers not being better and felt the 40/20 attempt so early in set, that gave Wigan procession back at end was wrong decision. Better to move up pitch and kick dead, eating more time would have been smarter option. But take nothing away from his show, what great pass to jerry, he does thrice when the main man. Big raps to all the young guys. And we'll done the conditioner, they look a fit squad when on the pitch.

| All positives last nyt despite the loss, think we will be the better team for it in the long run , dose every body good to see us play well without Danny brough as he's not guna be playing for eva, just can't and won't find any negatives with all the lads last night, top effort well done.

| As a few on here will know (especially Brearley haha) im not a fan of Cudjoe but thought he showed up really well for you guys last night. I managed to get you guys at +16 on the handicap too which seemed too generous to miss out on. Only downside I saw was I felt a bit for young Mason seemed to struggle in collision and got knocked back a few times and expected a bit more from a lad his size. Josh Johnson impressed me seemed very keen and I think Murphy showed (as he always does) why he needs to be at full back gets through an absolute ton of work! really felt for you guys at the end but a very enjoyable game and im sure you will build on it

| Had that performance from a team shorn of so many first teamers been from Wigan, Leeds, Saints etc then you'd never hear the end of it!
very proud of all the boys last night, Wigan tried every trick in the book to upset us, bully us, disrupt the referee etc, but came up short, only our lack of experience and a bit of calmness from Ellis with the kick and 1 or 2 decisions enabled them to win that game i thought.
i would be slightly disappointed that a team full of internationals struggled to beat a team who's entire left edge had probably never even spoke to each other until tuesday
great effort by them all, but my one gripe and i know people won't agree with me, is the amount of fans who left either before the end or just as the hooter sounded, surely staying an extra 2 minutes to show appreciation for their efforts isn't going to kill them? and yet they are probably the first to complain when the team/club don't put the effort in, well they did last night and the people still couldn't be bothered showing their support.
sorry, but it just disappointed me on the night an still does, 2 minutes, that's all, 2 minutes!

| almost pulled it off!! great effort from the team lastnight
rapira, what a signing this guy is, hope we can keep him on the field as he is a top player
cudjoe man of the match for me , massive effort in attack and defence
didnt give us much hope but goes to show you can throw young lads in and they dont let you down
had a feeling of deja vu though coming away from the ground that we didnt quite get over the line in a close game

| The best thing about last night for me was it was above all a team effort, and the defence was superb, There were some great individual performances as well, That was for me was Ellis's best show yet, could well be something to do with Brough's absence, I am not his biggest fan at half but fair play to him he had a great game.
Maybe this will put an end to the (they are not ready for Super league yet talk ) they showed last night that they are ready ,given the chance. It was good to see Foster play OK as well, and Murphy just looks a natural full back.
Cudjo had a very good game, as did Hinchcliffe, Conner has talent, but he needs to pack in with the penalties. We would have beaten most sides last night, but Wigan are very clever and very Professional in the way they play the Ref and Benson leaves a lot to be desired as Ref's go. At the end of this season Wigan will be right there, they have a lot of top players, That just highlights how well the Giants went, We need that same attitude and effort against the lesser sides and all will be well.
I would think if Foster stays he will be main Kicker, It has always been his strong point ( don't know if he still has it ) that said he has always been a good finisher as well, The thing is , his defence didn't look so catastrophic last night as it is said to be, I thought he did well.
