Signed from Salford to replace Rapira by all accounts.

Never noticed him if i'm honest, his brother Jordan is rated the better of the 2 by Salford fans.

Frees up a quota spot I suppose, hopefully to sign Rankin long term!

I disagree tbh. Rapira is one of the biggest earners at the club and for me didn't earn it last season and will probably be on more than Ikahihifo and Walne combined. I do think he's been excellent the last few weeks mind due.

Just done some research on Walne, he picked up an injury but Salford fans were raving about him before his injury saying he was their most improved player this season until that point.

I dont rate Gaskell at all at FB and I think Darnell is going very well on the wing.

I think Rankin has been excellent at FB for us in Mamos absence and would like to see him in the halves with Brough next season.

Gaskell is good to have as cover for Halves and Centre.

Rankin has been ok-certainly seems to have organised our defence well. I'd rather use the quota spot elsewhere as Mamo will be first choice FB- and we are paying gaskelltoo much (alledgedly more than most) for too long for him not to play.

Having watched Adam Walne since he was a teenager at Salford he was a standout player in the academy sides and won club awards at possibly every level.
At Superleague level he developed the habit of giving away too many penalties and other silly errors but this season early on before his injury he really showed a vast improvement and was playing excellent rugby.
I for one will be sorry to see him leave and wish him all the best.
Both Adam and Jordan give 100% each time they play and again in my opinion Adam is the better of the two.

Decent signing if true, young, English and plenty to prove.

Could become another Jacko, Raleigh type.

Not sure what to believe - League Express say this is deal done but Giants normally keep signings very quiet and are first to announce. No mention on club website yet?

Cloughs game is pretty simple - and he does it well.

Paul Jackson was a fav of mine. Had a good step that got him a few extra metres.

Not true!

League Express reported Clough, Gaskell and Ferguson long before the club announced it.

Same with Wakeman and Mamo.

The only one which surprised me was Turner.

LE even reported the Rankin deal before we announced it.

Clough has turned out better than i expected, He gets through some work.

I know nothing about Walne, but he sounds like a bit more of What we already have plenty of, Some one must have looked him over though.

Run leroy , run !.... And he did - twice - and we partied hard...:Black Backgrounds/Statler.gif

Yep - clough better than I expected.

Think, like some other players, it took us a while to establish everyone's role.

Clough not an off loading barnstormng prop like Taai and Seb, but boy his taclikng and work rate are great, plus he is a safe ball carrier.
