| Why oh why did we ever let him leave? He has more guts and rugby knowledge than virtually any player I have seen. We miss him so much in attack, it's frightening how often he delivers the final pass for a try.

because Nb told BH he was leaving and perhps BH should join his good mate tony smith. The NB flip flopped after BH had signed elsewhere.
certainly much of the NB effect was the BH effect.

BH was/is a superstar and if NB was talking superstars into leaving the club then we are certainly better off without NB. BH is a match winner as he showed today real shame he is not on our books. As you say BH had an effect on the club and maybe all this negativity around at the moment wouldn't be here if BH was around.

| It was nothing to do with NB it was Spewliss that refused him the 2 years he asked for so he moved on.

| thewlis took a gamble and got it wrong. if we had given hodgy a 2 year deal and he had got injured then the fans would be moaning about waisted space on the cap etc..sometimes you win and sometimes you lose.

| Great player. One of the most professional overseas players we've had.
Love it when he joins the attacking line , and He has a great cut out pass.
Wonder what if he had signed another two years for us......?

| I like the irony that you lot got shut of him because you had doubts about how long he had left in the game, only for him to end up with us and will probably end up giving us 4 very good year's service...
I think this one is up with the 'selling Eric Cantona to Man Utd' decision made by Leeds Utd back in 1993....

| Someone obviously didn't realise just how important Hodgson was to our attack back then.

Nobody was complaining when Scott Grix was scoring higher on Opta stats than Hodgson last season were they?
Sorry but the people moaning about letting him go are the same people moaning about the lack of game time we've had out of David Fa'alogo and Luke O'Donnell, this is potentially what could have happened with Brett Hodgson and was probably the risk assessment at the time.
Hodgson hasn't played masses of games for Warrington this year, he has been kept for key games where he can come up with the goods - ask yourself if we have the strength in depth to be able to do that? I don't think we do.
That said, he was outstanding on Saturday for Warrington and was deserved of the Lance Todd trophy.

| Was down at Wembley and decided about five minutes from kick off to stick a £5 on Hodgson for the Lance Todd at 6/1.
So turned out a good day all round.

| Big mistake at the time, many on here was not happy about the position Thwellis was taking and I seem to recall NB was against the decision.
Reluctantly many backed down against their better judgement, as lets face it what choice does the common supporter have, they are powerless as to what is decided.
Grix did an OK job as cover lasts season not great and certainly not MOS standard, Eden has potential but has a lot more learning to do, needs to tighten up his decision making and last line of defence akin to BH.
BH deserved his accolades on Saturday, indeed he's done pretty well all season, and Wire's decision maker has given him another 2 year deal!
BTW he seems to be getting most things right, how many trophies have they won in the last 4 years compared to us?
