What do you mean give over grix has been dreadful all year its just his mates have defended well and saved his skin week after week !!

He's played there all season, he's obviously done well as we're top of the league, I don't see what your problem is

We gave Blackmore a game last week as i believe Mcgilivary was carrying a knock.
I have nothing against resting players but dropping players at this stage of the season is a big risk. Grix is lacking in confidence so dropping him is hardly likely to imrpove him more likely to effect his confidence even more.

Also the only real replacement is playing out of his skin on the wing. I feel he may be the long term answer at fullback but would need a full pre season training there.
If Murphy was moved to full back that would make the Giants weak defencively on both wings. This is what cost them numerous points last year due to walk in tries from non existant defending. This has improved dramatically this year and i would put a lot of that down to Murphy.

Have you read my post the reason we are top of the league has nothing to do with grix it is because his team mates have defended when he has repeatedly made mistakes he drops bombs, he misses grubbers, he misses tackles he is a liability if he has no confidence get him to Batley to get some.

We should beat Salford by a canter so possibly put a young full back their we cant afford his school boy errors in the finals !

Yeah lets drop Grix .....hang on a minute who will play full-back then ? i know, Murphy -but he's having a blinding season on the wing so who do we replace him with if he goes to full-back? we could also put Leroy to full-back - but then we will need to replace him, probably our best centre, with someone...Grix hasn't been playing well no but we have no-one else and if the coaching staff who have got us to the top of the league are happy for him to continue then so am i !!

I seem to remember back in the day Kris Radlinksi came in as a 16 year old kid in similar circumstances and did not do too much wrong by helping wigan win the league ?

Face facts grix is no good he should be a backup back like he was signed for

Pretty sure we beat Wigan earlier on in the season with grix, if he makes a mistake then he makes a mistake, can't just criticise him for everything he does wrong, he's not perfect but he's good enough

He makes mistakes, as do a lot of the team. If it comes to him being the last man to beat, it usually means someone has made a defensive mistake in the defensive line.

The problem comes from mistakes being more noticeable and sometimes more costly in the full-back position.

I too have said previously that he could do with being dropped, but at this stage of the season it would be daft - something akin to what Nathan Brown would do. He has done a good enough job so far, so I say leave him where he is.

On the balance, I would say Grix does a good job and as others have pointed out he can't be that bad if we're top of the league.
