| Looks like he was sacked as his comments in the Examiner this morning said he had no intention of walking away.
I have to say that i feel he has squandered the opportunity that was given to him by Ken Davy and i feel that after his first season we have gone backwards ever since.
Without this change i really think that fans unhappiness would have increased.
Anderson now left in a very difficult position but i feel that he needs to make a statement and i hope it is Danny Brough as new Captain.
Everyone needs to get behind the team now.
Let us try to salvage something this season and hope that Ken is not as demoralised as most supporters.

| For the best really, Nathan proved to be a very good technician in improving individuals, appartantly a lovely fella but ultimately not a leader and he tended to flap when plan A wasn't working.
Years 1 & 2 of his tenure were pretty good overall, 3 & 4 less so.
There have though been good moments each season, but despite his comments on our less talented Roster, we actually have a team full of quality, if lacking a bit of size. Oh for a couple of props!

Nope, why should it be? Nathan Brown's own comments make it clear he had lost the confidence of the players, he did something similar at StGeorge so that is not a "Giants only" issue.
The truth is NB is probably a very good coach for a couple of seasons, because he was good initially we kept him too long.
To those of us that watch the Giants regularly it was blindingly obvious that the "systems used" were significantly better than recent weeks. Nathan then blamed an obvious improvement as the reason we lost.
If I were a cynic I would question if he was trying to get sacked!

| It's a shame that it came to this with how the season started off, but really should have gone after the debacle at Castleford and given Paul Anderson the opportunity to get a response from the players for the Semi-final.
Would now like to see Kieron Purtill installed as assistant for the rest of the season also.

| Very sad news. He has been fantastic for the club. It may be the right time, but I am unhappy with a number of players roles in this!

| I'm with Code 13 although I think it's about 2 seasons too late in getting rid. I only want people at the Giants who WANT to be at the Giants.
Not some half hearted Aussie who's head was turned every time a sniff of a job in Oz came up.
Couple of seasons ago Baloo could have gone to the Bulls, he chose to stay with us and develop as a coach, glad we har seen sense and given him the job with an all BRITISH coaching team.
Time now to assess who is good enough to wear the famous shirt and who is just taking up cap space, sorry but there can be no sentiment and there are a few who need to be replaced.
Class Standoff and big nasty hard prop is a must as is keeping Broughy an making him captain, he leads by example week in week out and that's the standard everyone needs to attain to.
To summarise but later than would of liked but glad to get shut, lots say he improved us but 90% of the folk that post on here could have improved us spending the money and with the players he has had. Just need to pick players in correct positions.
Good Luck Baloo and hope you can show what can be achieved.

Agree with that, he should of gone earlier, and do not think the fans will be overly harsh on PA, what he's got to do is get us playing as a group, make the playoffs. I don't think fans expect us to rip up trees after the last 2 months, but put some pride back in wearing the shirt.

| Its a massive shame that its come to this, nathan brown has done very well for us,lets not forget that, he will always have my thanks for taking us to heights that us long standing fans could only have dreamt off a decade or so back, he turned into respected and sometimes feared opponents, however over the last few weeks, the fans have turned on him for his bizarre selections and tactics and it seems to have had an adverse effect on certain players, results and performances speak for themselves unfortunately and left the club with no option, all i can say is thank you nathan and good luck at saints and i hope most of us remember the good times we had with him not the last 8 weeks

| A certain inevitability to this action once the semi-final was out of the way. I guess the players have been unsettled since the announcement that he was going to Saints.
Looked early on that he was going to overcome it, but has clearly got worse. I dont suppose we helped signing KB for next season in such a high profile way.
Made a nonsense of his retaining the captaincy. Not sure whether him coming straight away was ever on the table (I suspect the money is all from next years budget, so it probably suited us to take him from 2013).
Clearly there have been other players unsettled and talking to other clubs.
At least Anderson has the opportunity to take control of things and can speak with the full authority of being around for a few years to come.

| Knew he was leaving if we failed to win the semi so wasn't really a surprise to me ...but although its a sad end to a brilliant time under him it had to happen, players, fans and no doubt coaching staff were all beginning to turn on each other so it was only a matter of time before this did happen.
Thank You Nathan for making me proud to be a Fartowner again and for putting my club up there challenging the 'bigger boys' - all the best to you and your family in the future and thanks for the memories !
