| Sounds like a arrogant dog owner. Taking so many dogs out off a lead suggests lack af a brain. Glad it was not my dogs. Good addition then ????. For next season.

Or perhaps just naive.
Some of his dogs are rescues- no idea what background they have that might trigger something like this.
I'm happy with this signing.

Even more reason to keep them on a lead

| He's not a bad lad, he's a lad who was little naive and lucky something worse didn't happen, like it says in article, he has rescue dogs, he's a good kid that made a mistake, the fact he offered to go to prison if it meant the dogs lives were spared says something about his character.

Keeping dogs on a lead can make it worse!
I have two rescues- one is a border collie cross- he would go absolutely stir crazy if he wasn't able to run and chase a ball. Some dogs need harder exercise than a walk round the park. A frustrated dog is a potentially dangerous dog.

It says something about what he has between his ears as well, Any dog that attacks a person needs a bullet.

Agree, suggest he sends the Wild Dogs around to Jools first time she criticises him. She could Tame them, being an expert.

Police dogs are trained to attack people in certain circumstances and when they are ordered to do so, If they were to do it outside those parameters, then yes they should get a bullet.
If you had a child who had been savaged ( god forbid ) or seen some one who had, would you feel any better knowing it was, or had been a police dog, or the owner had said, It's never done anything like this before, or some such rubbish.

A friend of mine was bitten by a police dog at greenhead park when we were about 10. We were petting it and a passing idiot yelled kill in its face. Thankfully the handler was able to drag it back.
There is no need for the dogs to lose their lives if in the future the way they are kept in public is changed.

Fair enough jools, but educating people is sometimes harder than training dogs. I will never understand why people want to own Mastiffs, Pit Bulls, Alsatians etc as pets, they are all capable of killing, and do so from time to time, I have seen a man mauled by a war dog, so my views are more extreme than most. I know that Dogs fill a huge need in some peoples lives and do a very good job in many areas, but I would be very restrictive what breeds were even allowed in the county were it left to me.

Then you know absolutely nothing about dogs with that post.
I have had Alsatians for years and the only problem is that too many people have the attitude you do that they are dangerous.
7ou want to watch out for these killers

The right dog in the right environment withe right owner is not a problem.
The wrong dog in the wrong environment with the wrong owner is a problem
