| Well fages misses this one due to the usual Leeds sh*thousery.
Josh Jones back in the squad. As is golding. No place for AOB or Lawrence.
Personally I would let king sit this one out- he’s announced he’s going to wigan next year, nothing to prove to wire at Huddersfield, no allegiance to us and has been very average. Put Leroy back to his usual centre and seniors on their usual wings. Golding on the bench as cover for the backs and hooker.
I don’t think Watson will do this however. I’d give hewitt a rest this week and play him next week against wakey- don’t want to wear him out.
My team would be
Tui
Senior
Leroy
Leutele
Senior
Pryce
Russell
Hill
Levi
Trout
Jones
McQueen
Yates
Wilson, greenwood, English , golding

| King really has been a major disappointment. The return of the 'hometown boy' brought little more than a huge drain on the club's salary cap. Small wonder then, his destination is set to be Wigan's world of creative accountancy.
Hearing that Bibby and Marsters are now secure, with a little cap space left for a late surprise!
But not big enough for the Salford wizard sadly.

I do hope that taking on king did not have an impact on our salary cap- I would hope that we would have an arrangement such that we would continue to pay for wardle and wire would continue to pay for king. I’m less than enthusiastic about bibby- he’s better than king has proven to be but certainly not as good as wardle can be. However I wasn’t too keen on tui and I’ve been proven wrong by that acquisition. So bibby may also prove me wrong. Marsters is a good appointment and if he’s coming that’s a good buy. But it would definitely be nice to have wardle on the other side as much as Leroy has been excellent this season we need to be looking to the future and naiqama and Leroy are not that.
Incidentally read some stuff from Swinton that young roby is out injured (injured training with us) and needs an op and will play no further part this season. The Swinton fans are gutted and were all most complimentary about him both as a person and a player and are hoping he will come back to them some day- they were sure he will be a SL player in the near future. Good stuff.

| I do believe that missing out on the final was the last straw for Jake and much humble pie would have to be eaten for any return to be possible. Interesting update on Roby, hope he recovers quickly.
Now, let's go and keep that sour look on Powell's face.

| Blimey!! That was a close one, I certainly weren't expecting that after being 32-10 up at HT, thankfully we got over the line but that's a massive warning to the squad that we play for the full 80, not just 40.

I can’t remember being that disappointed with a win in a long time. Not just the fact we gave away such a large lead but the nature of the way we did so by doing dumb stuff over and over again. Three times throwing a completely unnecessary intercepted ball over the top, when all we had to do was keep the ball and complete our set. I said we needed to get senior on that wing, we lacked pace and it showed. Gifting them possession in our own half by trying to offload unecessarily and just switching off defensively because we thought we had the game in the bag.
My mum said to me after they scored just after half time we need to score again, I said no we just need to not concede any more points! And we did the complete opposite. Conceding that number of points is abysmal, and mostly off our gifts is even more so. I’m afraid I can’t see us progressing through the first round of the playoffs as we seem to be going backwards!
Says a lot when the Warrington fans were smiling more than we were at the end.

| It's a shame for you guys that your game against Wakefield isn't scheduled for the Saturday. If Wigan beat Catalans on Friday you would know you don't need to play your best team to make sure you get 3rd.

I think we need to play our best team regardless- they need the flipping practice!
What’s more of a shame is we let wigan take a week off this week by losing to Leeds last week.
Salford look definite to be finishing fifth.
Providing we can manage to actually beat Wakefield it’s looking like Cas or Leeds at home. Just hope we didn’t finish 4th as I don’t fancy taking on salford at the moment.
Leeds or Cas at home is a much nicer prospect.

| We need to rest all our most important players against wakey, we need as near full strength as possible for the play offs, not limping in with an exhausted squad. Playing our first team on Friday would be bonkers

| All to play for next week, a must win game vs Wakefield to finish 3rd in the league & a home tie to the team who finish 6th, which is still to be decided as Leeds play Castleford in the last game of the season.

Yes Salford look particularly dangerous at the moment. Finishing 3rd would mean you would definitely go to Wigan in week 2 if you win your first game (even as a Wigan fan I imagine that would be preferable to going to St Helens given their recent playoff record).

You know what, due to living in Wales & thankfully Giants have been on TV a fair few times this season so I've managed to watch them all, we've played some very good rugby in thise games & some very bad rugby in which its had me screaming at the tv when we do thise stupid plays - like throw it when we just need to complete the set, dont do anything silly, just play basic rugby, sounds like today from what you said we carried on being silly because of the lead we had built up, we were trying passes that simply weren't on, you can't do that in the playoffs otherwise it'll be goodnight, especially if we play Salford, they are the team I want us to avoid playing, they've impressed me no end these last few games, today they blew away Castleford with ease.

When we played salford at magic we played the game- esp the first half on our terms and we one that without too much of a scare. At their place we started of sluggish and lethargic and they played the game how they wanted it played instead of how we did and the game got away from us quite quickly.
salford are currently full of confidence. We are unbeaten at home apart from by saints but we seem to be going backwards rather than building towards the playoffs. This idea someone had of resting players on Friday against Wakefield is the wrong thing to do for me if we end up playing salford in the next round. Leeds were nothing special at headingley and Cas blow hot and cold. I would rather play either of those two, both more beatable at home at the moment.

| Leeds will definitely beat Cas and take 6th, Cas are totally shot for this year. Yup we now need to beat Wakefield, who are running hot and have nothing lose, while Wigan and Saints can relax and prepare for the playoffs as they see fit. Can work both ways, if we win well AND don't have injuries and then get a rest it can be good, but if we win and get injuries or worse lose, it will not bode well for whats to come. What is the news on Fages? are we going to have another Wembley where he has been hobbled for the big game, cost us the cup final and would cost us the playoffs too.
I've just watched the Watson interview post warrington and i'll give one thing for Watson he sure will talk up players who buy into his thinking. King playing at international standard for the last few games?! Has he been watching the same games i've been watching or some alternate reality? Although he talked up Wardle coming back it was clear there is no clearing of the air there, 'I've spoken to Jake on the phone and told him he will be back to preseason training with us for next year' and also saying 'Jake is aspiring to Toby's level', talk about a put down. He is twice the player King is but didn't want to follow Watson's rules, it's clear its Watson's way or the high way, which i don't have a problem with, you have to be like that as a coach.
