| Thorman built the U19s team to its best result ever. He passed the mantle to Robbo with them in fine form. From what I hear from those he coached he has great man management skills. Can he do the same with “grown ups” (perhaps with brough that will be a plus!)
He absolutely has the Huddersfield club in his heart- is that a advantage or a disadvantage?

S Edwards might not be a bad shout, he never struck me as anyone who was prepared to lose if it could be avoided.
I don't think Thorman could do the job, that may sound harsh but i think as you say he is too close to the club, I would rather we got someone who bites metal and spits out filings, That said i don't think anyone is going to make much of a difference with the present set up in place and that shows no sign of change at all, so i think it will be a cheap option.
I'm beginning to think it's time for Mr Davy to find a buyer and step down, for all the money he has pumped in the achievements have been minimal , He has been the Savior of the club " and Town " but we just bump endlessly along the bottom changing coaches and players regularly to no avail , I would think the penny would have dropped before now and it makes me wonder if his interests are at a higher level than the rugby, but he needs them to be there. Just idol speculation.

| Thorman.
His chance to show what he can do with the team and his to lose in my opinion.
Fantastic with the youth and I can't see him not giving them a chance.
He's English too... can't be bothered with another Aussie coach trying to replicate the NRL.
If he's as passionate Off field, in training, and in the dressing room as we saw him on field barking orders to our players then it'll be a good start.
Plus he already has the support of the dressing room. (As far as I'm aware)

| It has to be a complete new coach, and not Thorman. Also we need the new coach to bring his own coaching staff with him. It's time to kick the players up the back side & not be friends/drinking buddies.

Honest and transparent with fans on all our injuries.

| From what people are saying it won't matter who our coach is if signings are generally decided by the board/Thewliss. I can't however imagine any coach with any amount of steel to stand for this though, as they live or die by results, and if someone else is forcing players on you.. they aren't your results!
Superleague isn't the level to begin being a first team coach so i would rule out Thorman for that reason. Like many others on here i want us to change our style of play and i'd go with any coach who can do that successfully.

I completely agree, The time for giving people a chance to show what they can do, is not now. We need a coach who has proved what he can do.
On top of that if Thorman is doing such a great job why move him, He is a young man and has plenty of time to get some experience before coaching at the highest level, That doesn't mean he wont get the job, he will be affordable.
One option would be to sell 1 one of the stands and try to coax Powel away from Cas, or just the seats from one stand and get Hetherington.

| Stick with your club , things will pick up .
Feel for Ken Davy , he has pumped heaps of cash into the club
Enjoy watching Hudds, used to like watching Broughy & Robbo play , and what a player Mc Gilvary is for you .
Paul Cooke would be a good SL head coach . Think one day he will be maybe he thinks it’s a bit early for him right now.

| Chris has his chance. If he can get the squad to unite around him and play with intensity for the full game week in week out then he should get the job. If he can't then we need to try to recruit someone we think can. The names been banded about have promise, but I think Edwards would be the one to most likely do the above.

| Chris Thorman has coached at senior level, prior to returning to The Giants he was senior coach at York Knights for a couple of seasons At least he has been straight and up front about our injury situation unlike his predecessor.Who was the person who sanctioned the loans of players out of the club ,we need these players now and can't get them back.I hate dual registration but its a site better than the situation we find ourselves in this week ,5 players out on loan and struggling to name a 19 for first Easter match and another match on the near horizon.

I questioned the loans when the Wakeman one happened - Chris itself told me that they can be recalled at any time under the terms of their loan agreements.
