Top performance that, from the boy's , still turned off for five mins but a good 9 out of 10 performance and the best I've seen us play in a long long time , we looked dangerous all over the park it's great to have Jamie back and the new fella was really impressive. So considering we had a full squad out and a new signing that was probably in the pipe line for a while , do some of us owe Mr Anderson abit more faith ?

We are still second bottom, but I for one, as one of the out voters, am for the time being ,glad he is still here

The way now is up COYG .

I have been probably his biggest critic because of the style of play he has coached , Today was about as good as it gets, so he deserves all the credit for that, Lets hope we can carry on in that style and he won't have many problems.

We have showed a big improvement in the last month, If we keep that up the wins will take care of themselves.

Some wonderful play today. We were easily the most entertaining team of the weekend.
Offloads, off the cuff play, long distance tries.

I never saw any of that coming.GIVES SOME OPTIMISM FOR THE REST OF THE SEASON

Best I've seen us in attack for a while, we threw the ball about and they looked like they wanted to enjoy themselves. Shame about the 5 minute lapse in defense, but generally very good.

We got the bounce of the ball in that game which is a nice change. Connor's control although lucky, was brilliant. He knew what he was doing as soon as it left his foot!

Sebastine looked awesome, not only did he run hard, he ran at Saints big blokes every time and put in some big hits. Can't wait to see more of him. Grix solid enough on return, I'd have stuck with Ryan but can't complain too much after that result!!

Brierly had tonsillitis, but still wanted to and watch the match. Grix was pretty solid considering his lay off, save for a couple of mistakes. Fairly solid all round I'd say apart from the odd lapse in concentration. New signing looks a better, looks like Ferguson might be in his way back too.

Grix did well on his first game back since round 1. What a try saving tackle on LMS!!!
A confident display from the lads- and only three penalties conceded by Giants all game. icon_thumb.gif

I'll eat humble pie

I was cursing the selection of Grix but apart from one fumble, which I can't blame him for, he was rock solid

And made some tackles I'm sure he'd have been trampled over previously

Can't see where he played any better than Brierleys been playing but no real complaints he had a decent game.

Bit of a conundrum though as Brierley shouldn't play again until Grix has a bad game.

Just a continuation of the pretty good form we've been showing since the Hull game, despite all the frothing about the result that night, and the fact that we have played poor sides! we just needed a bit of luck and composure, something we've not had all season despite not playing that bad in most games.
We've tended to lose games through our lack of composure, sometimes lack of effort, bad luck but mainly individual errors, of which the Coach/Chairman/CEO/Marketing Manager etc can do nothing about,
Considering players want out, have fallen out with the coach, who has lost the dressing room, and who is totally clueless and despite letting players go who don't want to be part of our club, it was a pretty good result, apart from a narrow defeat to a team who are at the top of their game and at their home ground which is tough to get a result anyway, and a narrow defeat to a lucky Wigan side who got the benefit of some dubious calls, we haven't had a bad few weeks.
Although that's probably down to the opposition not us icon_wink.gif

And yes, most of it is tongue in cheek.
I hope the pie is nice icon_smile.gif

Let's not get carried away I will happily taste your pie if we finish 8th and make a challenge cup semi or final.

We all enjoy watching the team do well however a good performance in defeat can often be a positive I agree but the fact remains we were way under performing and two swallows don't make a summer but it appears more positive times lie ahead.

I don't think we were underperforming, we were finding ways to lose games we could and should have won, i put that down to lack of confidence/composure.
But i was shot down, like many others who didn't agree that we were almost dead and buried as a club.
We certainly haven't been as bad as the table suggests, but ultimately the table doesn't lie.

Organisation of the defensive line.

No coincidence you loose Grix and go from conceding 15 points a game to 30-40 points a game, and before anyone starts, this is not knocking Brierley, but praising Grix.

At the end of the day Rugby League is a cyclic game some could say we have had our turn as they can with Leeds however we needed a change of direction or changes to what we have got and Brierley and Hikohififi seem to fit that bill.

In some games yes we just blew it but in games like Castleford we definitely under performed from the barrier I was stood at.

But let's hope brighter times lay ahead
