| Lunt is not yet fit [KP at last night's HGSA meeting]. It soulds like that Murphy will play until he has a bad game, though Broughton will get a chance at some stage.
He was full of praise ofr Bruno's overall contribution, saying that the coaches probably notice things that the fans don't. They says he's the Hoover - sweeps up what others miss!

| i agree, lawrence can do 80mins tackling non stop! really tightens up the defence.
bookies have leeds as big favourites for the game, i agree
can have us at 2/1 for a win, been a while since you could get those odds at home!

| I'd like to see Robbo back to Hooker and Bailey in the halves. We need more creativity and speed from Hooker - looking back at the Widnes game despite the points scored we didn't really created much. The tries came mostly from kicks and a length of the field break.
I'd also like to see Bruno play the full 80mins for this game - we'll need his defence. I puzzled by the game plan for the forwards at the moment, it seems Baloo is still working out how to use the ambundance of talent he has at prop. Against KR he seemed to rotate for the sake of it - every time Taai but up a head of steam and started looking dangerous, he was off. The same to a lesser extent for Kaufusi. Then against Widness the use of the replacements just had me scratching my head.
I have no doubt Baloo will turn this around and it won't be too long before we're performing and exceeding to last years standards but I fear it will be too late to pick up any points on Friday.

| The same bookies gave Widnes no chance against us! We are certainly not without hope on Friday. I think we have used our props differently in every game this season with different combinations of Eorl, Koppy and Kaufusi running on. The combination against Wigan worked, I would go back to that and I do like the idea of Robbo doing a stint at Hooker, particularly when Peacock is off.
Talking of the Wigan game, we have only played two games since then, while there were big flaws in both games, one was after a 16 day lay off and the other on that pitch, where several of our players do not look comfortable (to be clear I think the fault is with the players not the pitch). We are not far away, certainly not the outsiders the bookies make us. I expect it to be close and a high quality match as both teams can be very good, Hardaker seems to be playing well for Leeds, so Broughy needs to move him about.
Lastly I think we are a better team in the underdog role. I am much more confident this week than last, which seems strange, I do not think we will lose.

| why would we drop murphy or lawrence? probably 2 of our better defenders against a possible potent attacking force

| From squad announced id go with;
Grix
Jerry
Cudjoe
Wardle
Murphy
Brough
Bailey
Crabtree
Robinson
Kaufusi
Chan
Ferres
Lawrence
Koppy
Taai
Faiumu
Wood
I think PA will go with bailey at loose and Lawrence on the bench, with robbo at 7 and faiumu and wood hooking.
Either way, we'll be putting a good team out that I've no doubt will compete. Leeds won't have an easy game by any stretch.
I think wood is a fair player at 9, I just think that robbo is world class there. Particularly with Lunt out, I think we lose some cutting edge around the ruck.
I'd also like Lawrence to be tested at loose for 80 against a top side to see how he holds up in his terminator tackling mode.

| As regards moving hookers and halves, is this really what we want to try against a great team is some brilliant form? I don't know if they have put Bailey into the halves in pre season training but if not how may it affect systems that have been put in place?
For me we have wood and leeming, leeming scored a hat trick of try's in the unders squad against widnes! If he is good enough then get him in with some proper game time not ten mins!
Stick taai and fusi on the bench with fuey there to cover second row, prop, hooker of owt really goes wrong or injury

| Again, from what Kireon was hinting the other night, there's no way Robbo will return to 9.
Just remember folks, we were only 2 minutes [1 per match] away from maximum points, no matter how badly we played.

| Not what robbo seems to think. Don't think the idea is for robbo to return to hooker but to play in both positions to spell woody. He did similar before.

Last year in the challenge cup game we certainly put him off his game, in the second half he offloaded every time he had the ball before collision! Did not want to be involved!
