questioning the desire for this town to have a successful super league team.

6,344 is the current average (the fixture list has not been kind though with sunday 3pm, our desired kick off day only happening twice london and bradford)

so its currently down 1400 on last season, think the ticket prices going up and also huddersfield town being in the chamionship doesnt help.. maybe if they go down we will get a few back that have deserted us??

we are in a battle with the football club whether we like it or not for fans, other super league clubs dont really have this (wigan is a rugby town and leeds/hull are big populated areas)

i dont buy into this idea of us winning something will increase our crowds, not really happened for warrington who have won the cup twice, got a new stadium and dont have a rival football team to compete with.

maybe we need to tap into batley and dewsbury areas more... kirklees is a big place.

the team cant do anymore than it is doing right now on the field, but there is just so much apathy towards the giants around the town, maybe its the football fans who spread rubbish about us, to be honest if i was given 10 free tickets ti sundays game i dont think i could give them away!!

and our fans have to be the most fickle, after a defeat you only have to look on facebook and here to notice the negative comments and topics that suddenly appear. It seems they are waiting for us to fail to stick the boot in

I think the town does want it .....trouble is they're quite happy to sit at home or in the pub till its big game time again.

Cost is the major issue though, most people i know who dont come dont because they cant afford it ...simple as that in my opinion.
Drop prices and more will come.

we dropped prices last season and ken davy still wasnt happy with the average crowd and no where near where he wanted to be at.

forgot to mention also so world cup is HUGH for super league this year and us.. of the country grabs hold of it gets big viewing figures it could introduce a whole new generation to rugby league and huddersfield, crabtree should be playing and he could become an even bigger icon for us

I meant on the day prices - there were a lot of unhappy people last year who didnt renew their season tickets based on what happened - cant blame them - and its people like these and the casual floating fan who may fancy a game or two who cant afford the walk up prices.

Unfortunately we dropped prices last season, got crowds up then had a dog of a end to the season, and that's what people remembered

Coupled with a doubling of prices...yes prices had to go up, but given the results they maybe went up too much

I agree about tickets- twice I've had a spare ticket and haven't been able to give it away.
Don't agree about wire- after their CC win they got an extra 2000 - that nber extra would be great for us!
I also know of a few who haven't been this year following last years disappointment- one who's been watching longer than me! We need to sustain this good stsrt- get into the final rounds of CC - then I think people will start to drift back- a change in the weather won't go amiss to helping neither!

Yeah I know half a dozen folk who might come for the occasional game but baulk at the price, £21 buys a lot of alternate entertainment when the weather is rubbish...maybe with improving weather crowds will lift

Think your right there Code13, we've had an £8 hike on ticket prices in the 5 years since the recession started, thats obviously played its part as well as lack of success in pot form.

I don't see what the big fuss is. If the attendance is only down 20% then surely with the price increases this will actually see an increase in revenue for the club. Not bad considering the extremely poor value for money that fans got last season. If you want to sell a product then it needs to be up to standard, last season it wasn't so Did Mr Davy really expect anything else this season?
