I sit at the back and it's great, but does anyone have any ideas about how we can get ourselves either louder, or more visible at matches, any ideas? The Salford Game was the low point for atmosphere, the Wire game the high point. How do we turn every game to a good atmosphere?

Don't all hide at the back and come into the middle so the atmosphere spreads and people feel more confident to sing.

Are there approximately 60 seats together unreserved in the middle of the stand?

it could easily be aranged so that no season ticket holder would be moved more than 3 seats away from where they currently sit now . if i knew how to put diagrams on the computer i could show you.

Additionally in some cases i believe it could be done certainly near where i sit with hardly any disruption with the result that most people who did have to move would be in better seats.

That i believe would be a very small price to pay for potentially improving the atmosphere at games. It is my strong belief that this is one thing that the club could do to help improve crowds and atmosphere for NO EXTRA cost to the club.

It is one of [sizethree[/size suggestions i have made to the club which could really improve match day atmosphere [sizefor no extra cost and only a little bit of organisation[/size

However it would be fair to say that my experience of trying to do things for the benefit of the club tends to be met with sympathetic nods and nothing else and ultimately becomes futile and DEMORALISING.

In fact with one of them I offered TO PUT UP the £200 STARTING COSTS AND TO ORGANISE IT. And it was not taken up. For christs sake i was offering a £200 donation to the club and they did not bother getting back to me icon_mad.gif

You're probably talking to the wrong person at the club then.

I'd happily back any suggestion to improve the dire atmosphere we have a home matches. Away games are fantastic, and I loved the atmosphere at Leeds and Saints, but it's honestly because the people who sang were in the middle and mixed with those who didn't, so people who didn't sing were made to. Also, if we can see a better performance with louder support IMO, it can really lift them when they see fans shouting for them. So I don't see why the club doesn't support it.

well i wrote to Richard Thewlis and James Brammer and spoke to both on the phone ( after they phoned me). If you want to suggest anyone else feel happy to forward any names to me.

It was a simple suggestion

3 trestle tables one at each entrance to the Riverside stand and one at the end of the Britannia stand ( ropewalk end) selling penny sweets flying saucers, jelly hearts fruit salad etc [size to kids[/size. A bit like those stalls at CAS..( Inside near where they sell the C&G tickets and programmes) Would not affect current merchandising or sales etc. Would be run by volunteers ( i also wrote a whole suggestion about using volunteers organised by the club with ideas on how to sell it, " your club needs you" etc etc etc

[sizeI offered to pay £200 for the first lot of sweets[/size. All i would have needed was someone with a makro card

Both of them got back to me thanking me for my ideas, both said they would get back to me have not heard a dickie bird since.

Maybe they just though it was a idea and were being politefinancing and all profits could go to talenbuilder

I still think it would be a good idea. Kids and sweets always seemto go well together.

Then again maybe it was just a waste of time

Well I'm a singer and sometimes sit at the back. But I sit in the middle normally with my family who are all singers too but at home games I tend to feel uncomfortable singing in middle because I know not many will join around me. As said above reserved seating would prevent people from coming down to try out if the method would work (even tho we know it would)

Could be a good idea but what people seem to be forgetting is that people know the singers sit at the back of the stand and those that want to join in go up there to sing ...not many seem to sing in the middle and at the front so maybe they wouldn't take too kindly to a couple of dozen noisy people suddenly sitting next to them and singing and shouting !

How is selling sweets to kids from Trestle tables going to make people sing more? I don't get it.
