31349.jpg "Thank god I have finally signed for a decent club"

| League express is pretty confident, Robinson also confirmed he was fully aware of the giants getting brough before he signed up so it looks like a bit of hooking for robbo and a new half back partner for kevin. I think brough coming would be a great signing but would not look so good if kirmond was a makeweight. We would be crazy to let him go and to be honest I would rather keep him than get brough. Looking through all the press however kirmond is not mentioned once so hopefully just rumour and nonsense. I wonder if faiumu may be going the other way, he is out of contract at the end if this year, upto yesterday this would not have upset me too much but he was a different class against the whinos. We will see but I am sure that the flood of creative players we would have and the salary cap would have to dictate departures. Oh well we will see, in brown we trust!

Robbo played Hooker for a bit yesterday. I have already said that the Kirmond rumour is me being misquoted on here from a different website whilst talking about Jermaine McGillvary's month by month load deal to Barrow.

It would be a surprise as did Horne not sign for us saying no other SL team wanted him?
Assuming he is fit I was surprised not to see him play yesterday, that said I think Aspi has (rightly) earned that place from him with his recent games. That try he scored yesterday was a true 2nd rower try and certainly not a wingers!
I would prefer to lose Horne than Aspi right now.

| Totally agree with that. Aspers has adapted very well, has totally justified his place and showed great strength with his try.
He's hard as nails Aspers and gets stuck in on defence as well. I'd have him before Horne 8 days a week.

| There are 2 key aspects of player transfers. Are the players signing permanent deals with their 'new club' or going on loan.
if Kirmond was going to wakey on loan for the 2010 season I could live with it. His injury is one where you can play 'at 80%' effectiveness for several months. Like David Hodgson when he first came back. So a loan deal would give DK quality game time when we have plenty of cover in the back row. Next year several of our backrowers are OOC so some will move on and Danny returns 100% fit.
I do not think DK would sign a 2/3 yr contract with wakey.

Please don't start rationalising a Kirmond move to Wakefield. It would suggest I'm nearer the truth than I would like to be. I don't want to be ceremonially stoned during the half-time at the Saints game.

A full transfer would be unthinkable. Using wakey as a rehab feeder club is quite funny.
You...stoned at a game? What do you mean?

| I think they'd be better with Horne. He's got a pair of hands like. The Wakey shirt would bring out the colour of his eyes. If they have any sense they'll take Horne.

You need to start that post with 'Dear Ted'...

| But surely Ted and his canny BoD will know all about the sublime skills of Horne.
Yes indeed, they know Horne is their #1 target and are sure to persue him to the ends of the Earth.
And let's face it, when Ted wants something he gets it. Just ask Marie, his own PA in the suit section at the Owlecoates M&S in Pudsey...

Were you MISQUOTED when you said that Brett Hodgson has had to retire through injury?

| Latest word on the street and spreading like a bricklayers fart in a crowded canteen is that Wakefield are releasing Brough early as they have Cooke coming in and that the net saving in wages they will get seeing as Rovers are paying a large chunk of Cooke's salary will be enough to keep the wolf from their door in tax terms for a while. This suits Wakey as they're short of the old moolah and whilst not ideal for us we're possibly going to help out Wakefiled in this regard as a gesture of good will.
Another rumour, and this one is going down like a fart in a spacesuit round this end, is that Brough is actually bankrupt because he erroneously signed up for eyebrow overhang reduction and rhinoplasty on standing order and it is this standing order that forced him over the edge financially.
Feel free to quote those rumours elsewhere. They're 254% FACT™.
