I hear rumours he is coming to you on loan?

He has been at barrow raiders for a month on loan and has been awesome in every department and he is only 20 yrs old.
Just wondering if anybody can enlighten me???

fom a Wigan fans piont of view this lad has huge potential. He is being kept out of our team by the likes of J Tompkins G Hock P Baily etc.

He will be first team material next season IMO

rlNorth West Evening Mailrl

Quote: "
BARROW Raiders have a fight on their hands to keep hold of rising star Lee Mossop.

The 20-year-old pack man is currently on loan at Craven Park from Super League Wigan Warriors, but his initial one-month spell is coming to an end.

The initial deal finishes after this weekend but, as Barrow are without a game due to Gateshead’s Challenge Cup commitments, Friday’s 27-6 win at Widnes could turn out to be his last appearance for Raiders.

Barrow were given the option to extend the deal for a further two/three months when the Hensingham youngster was signed, but now one of Wigan’s Super League rivals – thought to be Huddersfield Giants – are believed to have expressed an interest in Mossop’s services.'"

He's a great prospect but will he get in the starting team for you Giants (doubt it ) He will be better staying at Barrow if hes not gunna be in the first team for the giants.

"Even at the age he is at, if you look at the size and the athletic ability he has got, in the not-too-distant future he could well be wearing a Great Britain shirt.”

Thats exciting to hear. BTW Greg McNally looked some player icon_smile.gif

He's huge for a lad of 20, he was a backrower but Wigan look to be converting him into a prop and is very highly rated.

Theres just not quite a way into the Wigan side at the moment but he'll back with us for 2010.

always abit of a shake up at the end of the season though with players leaving... we could do with getting rid of walsh as i dont rate him at all

Great news. Lets hope he knows how to break the line . Danny Kirkmond seems the only backrower who can do it ATM

Whilst on the sunject of loan signings I'm told that Richard Lopag has also gone to Swinton on a one-month loan and was due to play yesterday.

Added to Joe Walsh, Jermain McGillvary, Gregg McNally, Tom Hemmingway and Sam Crowther we do look like we've some quality coming through the ranks and it will surely benefit all involved to get regular first team rugby.

Tom & Joe both played off the bench yesterday and Lopag started on the wing for Swinton.

Seen him do it often enough playing in the reserves wheather playing a prop or back row lets hope he can do good for you guys, he was impressive in his loan spell at barrow apprently.

You guys reckon he'll get into yur 1st team? The move seems pointless if he doesnt.
