Mine would be Brierley for Grix, Wardle back to centre for Connor, Johnson for Crabtree as Eorl doesn't short turnaround too well these days.

Brierley
McGillivary,
Cudjoe
Wardle
Murphy
Brough
Ellis
Rapira
Wood
Johnson
Ta'ai
Lawrence
Hinchcliffe

Roberts
Mason
Ikahihifo
Leeming or Dickinson if Dickinson spell Wood with Hinchy bring on Roberts at LF.

Eorl's game time should be based to make him at his best for the cup QF as he looked k********d on Sunday and has to me each time we have less than a week between games I'm not knocking him just applying a sense of realism based on what I have seen.

Connor needs a break as well for me as he's lost the plot a couple of times recently.

Sam Wood should of come in at centre for Connor, Brierley for Grix, Johnson for Eorl and Ollie Roberts starting instead of Wardle, Leeming back into side at 9 and Hinchcliffe to 13. Too many no shows at Widnes for my liking!! Change at the helm long overdue but not gonna happen

Not at all if you have seen Eorl after a short turnaround he's struggled, Grix for Brierley makes sense to me as he should have played Sunday and Grix didn't do enough to keep his place and Connor needs a rest and we have enough forwards to play what always used to be our best left hand side combination of Wardle and Murphy.

Experience didn't work last Sunday did it ??

Thing is with Grix whether you like it or not you are always starting with a disadvantage as he will every game gift 1 try away right on his own try line. Did against St Helens ( got overlooked as team played well) and Widnes.

Hate to single players out as I do think he gives 100%, just dont think hes good enough to be a full back for a super league side looking to win something and push on.

With a mere 14 posts to your name you can be excused for not realising what you've just done.

Assuming you can read this and haven't already been banned for blasphemy, let me say that I largely agree with you.

Good luck icon_smile.gif

As do I. A lot of people on here support with there heart rather than their head. Grix had a decent game against Saints, yes he did drop one that gifted them a try but still a decent game, Unfortunately probably that one decent game will be enough to get him in the side for the rest of the season for some people, PA will more than likely be one of them.

I'm still trying to work out why we signed Brierley, Unless of course It's the old " bring him along slowly ploy" that usually works well.

It isnt very long ago that PA was being criticised for playing Brearley at full back! As for Grix, he is our No. 1 full back, the full back who has been there organising our defence when we were the best defence in superleague (two seasons). He made fewer mistakes than Murphy,Brough Hinchcliffe and Wardle against Widnes
and was playing with an injured bicep sustained at Newcastle. Some "knowledgeable" people on here should view the team and individual performances without their personal prejudicies and back the coach s judgement on players .

This says it all doesn't it? An injured player is chosen over an exciting attacking alternative who would thrive on the fast pitch at Widnes.

How many times did he have the ball in hand compared to the 4 you've named?

Are you seriously trying to tell us he was responsible for us having the best defence?

Even if you are, that's the past.

Was only a matter of time til one of the grix lovers mentioned his 'organisation skills'

He is not good enough, simple as that. He never has been, but what makes it more frustrating is the fact that we have a better player on a long term contract sat in the stands!

brierley signed to be our long term full back and still learning, apparently best way to learn now is to sit in the stands and watch grix.

anyway grix will be going by the end of this season so the debate on him will finally end
