CUT THE "experience" CRAP and get the dead wood out. If Brierley is not back in at Full Back next Friday its disgusting as now is the time to get him as much time in the position ready for the middle 8s as thats what we know we will be in so winning many more league games now is not really a priority its the cup.

Andersons comments for next Friday "Grix was dissapointed with him performance so i have given him chance to redeem himself" of which we may beat Castleford and Grix will remain at full back.

Murphy was back to his seasons starts form today - terrible, very inconsistent this year.

Tbf to Murphy he didn't need to make the tackle, the ball was knocked on and then the widnes player was in touch- most disgusting decision I've ever seen!

Difficult to tell on the video touch judge probably got it right as he kicked it twice once before he steps in touch but make a risky decision and you get bitten like Murphy did

Why doesn't Anderson trust Murphy to play anywhere other than wing.Would have backed Smurph to have downed the Widnes scrum half on that out to in.

It makes me laugh how after 1 win we have fans on here talking like we are the best team in the league and the same fans a week later saying we are the worst.
Yes it was poor but it is difficult to legislate for individual errors. Surprised to see Murphy mentioned as I thought he did little wrong yet no one mentions his centre partner who I thought was awful.
Grix was also nowehere near as bad as some would have you believe. Listening to some fans today then you would have thought every try conceeded was his fault.

Grix was the wrong pick every time he hit the line the move stopped. Brierley was the pick today his support play would have flourished on that pitch.

I cautioned getting too carried away our MO is to back up a good performance with a bad one and that's twice Widnes does have benefitted this season.

Pressures now off, we're nailed on for the middle 8s so with the remaining regular season fixtures being largely pointless perhaps use them as training runouts to practice more expansive and risky play. At least then we could hit the ground running come the 8s.
Has to be worth a try as the one up crap never has and never will work.

A very Pertinent post for me. Last week anyone who has been critical in any way was being invited to eat Humble pie after the Newcastle show , I wonder if those people who were doing the inviting are now eating some of the Pie themselves, because we had a bad game this week.

For some people It's about winning at any cost and with any style, Loosing is a blip of varying degrees dependant on the level of the loss . Players of any class have good and bad games, and need to be judged on more than an odd game here and there. Grix is a good example, he is not a disaster and has not often been so, neither is he a S league standard fullback, I doubt he will be going to a SL when he leaves us.

The same rules apply to the team as a whole, It's great when they come up with a show like Newcastle, and people naturally want to say well done. When they play badly people want to say so ( frowned upon by some on here )

The league table is what reflects a teams performance over a period of time, It makes no difference if you have lost a load of games by a couple of points, and won a couple by a shed load, You are where you are because of how you have performed. whether it be on a team level or poor individual skills.
Conner is another example, He is up and down like a YO YO. If he can't get to a level where he is a consistently good enough player for S League, Then either he is not good enough or the coaching is not good enough, Injuries come into it of course but every team suffers pretty much the same.

My overall impression is that we are sadly underperforming for the quality of squad we have, I know there are those on here who believe we have not been underperforming and It's just been bad luck of one sort or another that has left us down where we are, but we all think what we think about that.
