| this saturday ... 3pm... £15 adults.
squad of 19/20 going to play so should be a strong team, hopefully including ferres/lunt/taai who were going to miss the wakey game.
not sure what type of team hull kr are bringing over with their 5000 fans.

| Certainly a strong price. Think its unrealistic for a friendly match surely better marketing prior to the main season would charge no more than a tenner.
starts us off on the wrong foot to attract new supporters.

| £15 is well below the usual matchday price and in keeping with prices other clubs have charged for friendlys. Nothing to see here!

| Sounds like Rovers will be taking over a relatively strong side. A few youngsters are likely to get a run out again as they did at Hull but in no way a squad of 29 like last week! Sandercock said he wanted to take about 19 or so players to Huddersfield and as we're only having 2 trial games it is more likely that we will be playing a full strength 1-17 with maybe 3 youngsters getting 20mins at the end.
Hope James Green gets a shot against your big forwards, he's huge for a young lad and even the Hull FC fans had good and promising things to say about him.

| p.s.
I think you'll find it is 25,000 fans for a friendly, nowhere near our usual 67k away following.

| Taai was the one I think who ripped us to shreds last year was he not? Totally devastating when opposite a few weaker defenders. Hopefully we'll be more ready for him this year!

| Ukuma was the only Giants player who turned up at The MS3 Recruitment Stadium last year. If your players concentrate on him it's the other twelve who will rip you apart...
(Our team will change dramatically at half time)

Thanks for the correction Wadski!
I think the major changes at Rovers have gone relatively un-noticed by many. Almost a whole new pack, Weyman, Poore, Costigan, Larroyer and Langley with Josh Hodgson the only one still in there. A new half back pairing with Burns (not playing this week but will in the league) and Keating who are defensively good. It is our back line that we are hoping are stronger with better defensive back rowers and half backs. Cockayne will add a bit more go forward while Dave Hodgson will do what he does best. I personally think Welham has improved on his defence and Liam Salter proved he can stand tall in this league even though he's not got too much bulk yet.
It will be a whole new look Rovers vs a very minimally changed Giants side.
And yes in a trial game I wouldn't doubt both coaches will have a drastic change around of personnel.

| would think hull kr are faves to win this game, having already played last week against hull fc.. and bringing over a strong squad with the senior players playing big minutes..
should be a good game but no doubt will be scrappy and with all the changes giants will be making
