In an age when you rarely see your first choice 17 on the field, top squad players are exactly what you need, and I'd argue are a reason why we've done as well as we have this year, because weve coped well with injuries.

It's easy to assume that championship players should be signed, but unless you know their personal work circumstances then it's not necessarily the case that they'll be cheap. Some championship players are earning 6 figures a year with the rugby topping up their salary. They aren't going to sacrifice that for 5k extra on their rugby salary to flog themselves and sit in the stands for a SL club
