| Big first 2 games. Hull and Catalan both expected to be similar to us around 4th, 5th and 6th.
Got to think we will gel as season develops - I’d take 1-1 after first 2 games.

| Will be interesting to see how we go against teams with big packs. That is my one worry about the season. Is the pack big enough particularly when the weather is not the best

| When looking through your side, I do think you look a little light at Prop - but remains to be seen

| O.A-B out,so 1 to 7 is a foregone conclusion I reckon.
The new improved for 2021 James Gavet recipe might mean one side of the front row is taken care of. No Michael Lawrence in the squad but Matty English included.
Speculating he might go with the following -
Gaskell
Jez Jake Ricky Darnell
Sezer Cogger
Jones
McQueen Edwards
English Cunningham Gavet
Yates,Greenwood,Ashworth,O'Brien/Wilson
(Trout,Cudjoe,Russell,O'Brien/Wilson)

| Half time - under the pump but we are hanging in there, only chance keep the defensive pressure on and hope Hull start making some errors.

| Outmuscled, outenthused, outthought, outsmarted, completely outplayed. So far, lucky to have nil.
A lot of work for Watson to do.

| That was utter gash, hopefully Watson now realises that however good Ollie Russell looks in training he aint no super league player. Would have been 40-0 if Hull had not been rusty. I was at least hoping for an expansive style of play, but no same old one up e, only time backs touch the ball is to run out of defence.

| Fairly obv already we lack real size in the front row to bother a team like Hull in 2021, though Watto seems to be getting the best out of James Gavet which is a massive plus. Because of that lack of size up front maybe it's time to get Louis Senior and Sam Wood onto the wings now, big lads with plenty to prove get us close to half way on plays 1 and 2 kick returns. Without Cunningham locking up the middle ruck we were constantly on the back foot at the start of second half so got no decent field position, in fact just constantly on the back foot throughout the whole game.

| Doubt Sezer could have made much of a difference to that. Maybe the biggest puzzle is why a big lump of a forward like Ashworth could not even make the bench.
Obvious our plan was to sometimes shift it wide coming out of our own half away from their power pack, but sadly that didn't really get us anywhere.
