Danny is a Fartown legend, one of the best half backs of the modern era and should have played for England on a regular basis. His kicking game is possibly the best in Super League and in his best years he had speed off the mark. He is a true competitor and every team needs a player like that, I'm not sure who will step up to that role. All the best Danny it has been a pleasure to watch you play for the claret and gold.

Brough leaving is a shame, but best for both parties, he probably missed more than he played last season and was easy to defend against mostly. We have too many halfbacks coming through to have to play second fiddle to him. Good luck Danny, I hope Wakey treats you well and you'll always be C&G to me.

As for Grix. Yeah he made howlers at times, but his marshalling of our defence was just outstanding, it was blindingly obvious when he wasn't on the field for that alone.

As a fullback coach I think he will be superb.
