| Eden stunk wheldon road out last night. His worst performance for us I've seen him play. Same can be said for Shenton and Ellis too

| Looked like Eden when he played for us last night.
Sky mentioned an interesting fact about Hinchliffe last night, only missed 3 in 86 games for us, say what you want about value for money but that's impressive. His attitude is first class and he's willing to play the wind up merchant too which I always like.
I think our forwards deserve massive wraps, on paper we are so lightweight but we are out enthusing everyone at the moment.
Also Rankin class last night as was Leroy, put Jerry's trys on a plate. Good to see that combo working again, it's been too long!

| yep you look at our pack on paper and you think its just too light but the tactics we are using seem to be working around that
cudjoe so important for mcgillvary, said he would be a huge miss at the start of this season and so it proved

Eden looks fabulous when given space in attack, but has always been incredibly dodgy in defence, last night just showed his weaknesses and not his strengths. Ellis played exactly like he did for us, shocking as an organiser or distributor and is a one trick pony with his darts close to the line. He scored a few eye catching tries close to the line very similar to the one he scored on Friday for us, but apart from that he's complete gash. We are well rid of both those players.

I remember one or two on here who wanted to keep Ellis, and then wanted him back

one thing ellis can do is kick goals...sometimes a player like that is worth having in the team just for those vital 2 points.
eden was coming back from a lay off so will have been scratchy but we all know he can have the errors in his game

| Ellis was an excellent organiser for us when he first arrived, then hit the pies and forgot how to pass more than 5 feet
And when we got rid of Ellis we also got rid of all our other halfbacks so it was a case of wishing we'd kept one maybe...
Brough and Gaskell doing it with some real quiet quality at the moment though

| Inside Jamie Ellis is a quality half back...
...with lots of room.
To be fair, he looked a lot slimmer last week.

| One thing I've noticed in the last 3 games is the amount of head high shots going in. Don't know if it's intimidation tactics but to our credit we've not fallen for it and just get up shake ourselves off and get on with it. With the RL trying to get a grip of head injuries you'd like to think that your players are being protected but in those last 3 games the refs just kept giving penalties and things need to be more serious if you are really committed to sorting out HIA's.

| The RFL has sent a clear signal in the last few seasons that Giants players are fair game.

| It certainly looks that way but only once we started competing against teams above us. Before that they just knocked us over legitimately but just recently there has been a definite increase in high shots.
