Quote: jools "It’s heartbreaking- and even when we only won 4 game all season and finished bottom year after year it didn’t feel like this. Then the players on the pitch didn’t get the stick they get now because they gave it a dig every week, and would come and chat in the bar after and you felt like you were in it together. Now you feel removed from it all.
My kids don’t want to go- my lad won’t even wear a giants shirt to training anymore because he’s embarrassed.'"
We are in a very sad state jools, and i know you are one who looks for the positives, but if even the likes of yourself feel as you do then that's a fair indication of how bad things are.
Sadly there is nothing we as fans can do other than keep turning up ,coming away spitting feathers and praying for a miracle, and that's what it's going to take.
If Mr Davy thinks he has got things right and he can eventually sort it by keep changing coaches , we have to just plod on, If an he ever does get it right there may be no-one going down there,
I feel like most people i speak too, I feel that the problems start higher up than the coach and the players, If you don't get that right first you will just be wasting your time on the field, Thats how i see it anyway.
I want whoever our coach turns out to be, to do well and we have seen a couple of coaches do well, but sadly it doesn't last because the problems don't start there. What comes across from the club is " we are lucky to be where we are " and IF that is the thinking then we would be better in the Championship where we would hopefully be able to compete, At the moment that looks to be where we are headed.
