I wouldn't call it trouble. Hoyle was at a Q&A on Saturday and was asked by a fan if there was a possibility of Town buying out The Giants. Hoyle said no, and he was unequivocal in expressing that this is very much the home of Huddersfield Giants as well and should remain as such. He did say though that he would like to open discussions again about how the office space is used as currently it's a 50/50 split and Town may need to expand should they stay up.

What's happening with the old Police training ground at the bottom of Big Valley? Ken bought it to develop into a training facility for the Giants. Maybe a possibility to build a small ground there and move into it if the Premier league insist that football clubs don't ground share. Remember Eorl Crabtree announcing plans in the examiner about the issue about a year or so ago but it's all gone quiet since then.

There was an issue with drainage initially, then the pavilion was burned down and asbestos was found. That took an age to sort as kirklees have to approve a contractor to remove (am talking months and months, not days)
AFAIK the drainage is still an issue.
Seems daft buying it then letting it sit there for more than 5 years.....

To the best of my knowledge, the stadium is split 40:40:20 between Town, Kirklees Council and some company related to the Giants.

In a dream world, Town would buy that 20% and it would be used to build a 12,000 capacity rugby ground at Fartown. The crazy economics of football are such that it would be a damn site cheaper to build a stadium at Fartown than for Town to sign a mediocre striker.

Sadly, it will never happen.
