whats the thoughts on next seasons half backs...

last year we had a whole pre season with brierley and brough working together...we know what happened there!

so this time round we need to get it right

i can see it being ...

brough & rankin ... brough for me is on the decline and poss his last season with us now but still number 1 at the club... think rankin was brought in to play half back but had to play full back last season for the injured mamo. certainly has lots of history playing half back, the youngest nrl player to play there...showed his skill too last season coming into the line with assists.

again we have competition for those rolls with gaskell also involved, another interesting battle and choice for stone to make!!

Brough with Rankin/Gaskell, this is Brough's last year so it's imperative we find his replacement as soon as we can.

Brough and Rankin with Gaskell as back up as he has more utility value in other positions as well as the halves.
Who replaces brough is more of a worry.

i think brierley was broughs replacment but thats gone now... sure the club have a plan, not like they havent known about it for years.

Don't think anybody should be a shoe in this year. Brough needs to step up this year and become the role model he was when he was captain fantastic.
He was too ill disaplined last year while Gaskell stepped up tremendously all year in a number of positions and got less credit from most.
Wonder how he'll react to his World Cup exit?
