Aim this year was to make top 8 so if we achieve that then good progress made and we can test ourselves in the Super 8's with no pressure. Fantastic turnaround from earlier this year and that win at Leeds was the spark. Since then we have got better and better - just where would we be without our horrendous injury list I wonder. Make the Top 8 and i am satisfied that we are heading in the right direction and can look forward to challenging again next year.

I have always thought it was getting the players who are on the field to be at their best " whoever they are " that matters and that seems to be happening now. I don't pretend to know what has brought about this change, " it has been dramatic, and seemed to start after the sad passing of Mr Davy's good lady ".
I have also always thought that a big percentage of good coaching is motivating the players and getting the best from them, so for me RS seems to be getting that right now and credit to him for it.
The big thing for us now is to not start regarding Widnes and Leigh as already won . " we just need to turn up ". Those are the games we are likely to get turned over. We have shown in the last few weeks we are in fact a match for any of the other sides now, we just need to keep going the way we are. I wont be surprised if we win all 4 games.'"
Injuries are part of the game as we all know and blaming them is pretty pointless as you need to look forward not back.
All clubs suffer in varying degrees.
It's how your squad handles those injuries that's key and we are doing well in that respect at the moment.
Also, we have had 2 key injuries early in the game in the last 2 games against top teams and we've found a way to handle them within both games.
Good to see and long may it continue. (Not the injuries but how we are handling them!) |

beat widnes and leigh at home .. might not even need that but should be beating those two really, our home form starting to get back to what it used to be

Best scenario for the Giants would be a win against Salford tomorrow, and draws between Wakefield/Warrington and Catalan/Leigh today and between Wigan/Widnes tomorrow. Odds against would be at least 1000-1 against, though!
