not sure how town getting promoted would help the giants other than get abit of fresh paint at the stadium.
crowds would go down, towns have been going up as ours have gone down...coincidence....
less coverage in the local paper, already dwindling, less interest in the town itself
less kids playing rugby as they would get into the footie instead, hard enough to persuade them as it is.
more late fixture changes to accommodate the premier league.
positive would be the town itself would get an economy boost. hotels and bars etc'"
If it makes you feel any better, this season is the first time I've bought 2 Giants season tickets, and I only support the Giants because of Huddersfield Town.  |

Incredible achievement for town. I hope they do it. A well run club from top to bottom and their efforts are paying dividends on and off the field. Our Town needs something positive like this.

well deserved reaching the final for town
so now we have the fixture clash.......
how many will be turning up to watch the giants when all eyes will be on town that day or at wembley??
i will be at the giants match.
id like to catch the town game though if possible, maybe we could kick off at 12 or 6pm??
st helens and the rfl will have a say in it all though too

Playing Friday- Monday, 3 games in 8 days with an injury hit squad in the hope we catch saints out, or playing on 19th June after a trip to cats, before a game against Wigan but with recovery in between and perhaps bodies back.
I reckon stone would prefer the latter.

Been moved which I knew weeks ago it would if this situation arose as the extra costs of bank holiday for contract staff is too costly compared to in house staff who'll be off for the day either as fans or stewarding coaches.
