Myself i have regarded him as the best signing the Giants have made for a long time, He is still capable of controlling a game and on his day he is a proven match winner.
That said he is not going to go on forever and i wondered what other peoples thoughts are about him, I'm not really talking about his replacement, that should be well under consideration by now.
I'm wondering if people think he has a future at the Giants after his playing days are over, Would he be good on the coaching side of the game, He as all the skills to pass on, but does he have the skills to pass them on, He certainly has a bit of fire about him and sometime i really get the feeling we could stand some of that in the coaching. ( I remember A Murphy's style, and it worked very well )
Does anyone think DB has it in him to make a coach, He doesn't come over as someone who accepts anything but best effort, On the field, even when not in his best form he puts as much effort in as anyone in the side and more than most. He came to us with a rep for being a problem and although i get to know nothing from the inside, he doesn't seem to have been the bad boy he was supposed to be.
Just wondered what other people's thoughts might be.'"
Funny you should start this thread, I was just going to start one on the same subject. I believe we could offer Broughy a coaching role for when he finishes playing. I think we could get 2 more seasons out of him as a player if we are lucky, with him transferring into the coaching role as soon as he stops playing. He seems to have a knowledgeable insight into the game, and would not stand for mediocrity. He is a talent we should attempt to secure for the future.
