| English was good, the other standouts were McIntosh, Wood and Kirkby I thought. Good tough test for the guys and we have some good options amongst the young guys so hope some get a go during the season. If RS did need/want to put one or two of the 4 mentioned in the 17 I would hope that they would show up well. Also Dickinson had some good drives.
Out of the more recognised senior players yesterday Ollie looks class, Mason went OK. Ormsby looks very ordinary from what I have seen so far this year?
Will be very interesting to see how we measure up against Wire on Wed and who plays where. Good signs so far as to an attitude change within the squad and seems from all the comments from coaches and players that we know we need to start the season well.

| Interesting piece in League Express today:
"Historically Giants have never been renowned for developing their own players. It is however a misconception. Former World XIII member Jermaine McGillvary is a product of the Giants academy system, while Leroy Cudjoe and Michael Lawrence, two of the club's most reliable stars over a number of years, we're also developed at the Giants. Kruise Leeming and Nathan Mason are the most recent success stories, and on the evidence of this game many more young stars could soon be added to the list of players who have emerged in the first team. A handful of the club's senior players namely Oliver Roberts and Adam O'brien led the way but others such as Matt English, Sam Wood and Jon Luke Kirkby all showcased great qualities."
Just as posters have seen for themselves then.

| Sam Wood and Darnell Mcintosh was always going to play at Warrington. That's the reason they was brought off with 15/20 mins to go.
I would much rather see wood and Mcintosh get a go than play ormsby. I'm not his biggest fan.
Matty English was fantastic and with him and Jon Luke Kirby we have 2 very good props on our hands.
I thought the young half in Farrell was excellent and looks to have a good kicking game.
