| Quote meast="meast"What he is actually quoted as saying is, that Huby was seemingly happy at the club and very much part of the plans until a few days ago, regardless of what the media/social media say, if the player says he's happy then the club have to take that as gospel.
So Huby then asks to leave, so what do we do? agree to release him, presumably for a fee? or make an unhappy player stay?
Can't see anything wrong with what the club or Thewlis has done or said, to me, it's just another "bash the club" thread!
Good luck to Chubs, it never really worked out for him here for various reasons.'"
Thewlis will be pleased his nonsense has worked on at least one person

| Can't really say i'm surprise or shocked as he's not exactly been giving out signs of being truly happy here - Can't really blame him after what he has been through, COULD have been a loss to us if he found his Cas form but fitness and personal issues meant we never did.
If he was unhappy (with the new rigorous training he had to do) then fair enough we can't be carrying guys who cant be bothered putting the effort in.
He probably thought he won't be expected to do as much at Wakey !!.
either way i never had a problem with him, shame it didn't work out here.

| "Until a few days ago'? We seem to have known on the Wakey forum for two weeks that he was coming. Knowing a player is not only leaving but knowing his destination too for a fortnight suggests that this was no recent thing.

| Earl, will have to put his boots back on. As he was forced to retire he will jump to play again. I told you all on here 3 weeks ago,and Bilko question it, Huby to
Wakey. Had to laugh at Thewlis statement ,how does he get away with his lies ?????

Wouldn't be so bad if earl could. He said in an interview the surgery he needed to reconstruct the bridge of his nose required two metal tubes and this would mean any potential collision could cause major trauma. So that's a no go!

| Ben Harrison on a 1 year loan deal would be good for the Giants. He was good in the 4 games he played for Trinity last season and is a genuine prop. If you get him and Wakerman then you'll have a competitive pack along with the other props you have....agree with others though Bailey surely is dropping down into the Championship as Mariano has done...

I would rather take Harrison over Bailey any day of the week.
The problem with this is he has got his testimonial with Warrington in January against us. So I presume he will be training with them until then, which means he will have spent all of pre season with Warrington and not us but at least he will be fit.
Unless we sign him and he plays for us against Warrington in his testimonial which benefits all parties. He will get to train with us immediately. He will still get his testimonial and Wire fans can give him a send off.
Cant see if happening though.

| i expect to see some signings no doubt its just a shame this mamo deal has hit a glitch
surely the wakeman rumour must come in now!
we got rid of the conditioner this off season and brought someone new in, well done the club for doing this, just a shame davy didnt get rid of thewlis too which i pointed out at the end of last season too should happen.
i dont think signing harrison would be a good one either
getting abit late in the day to be doing deals for players... we would want them in for pre season and settled!
ferguson, clough, gaskell in maybe wakeman and mamo to follow.
dont forget brierley, symonds, ikahihifo and ormsby who came in back end of last season too though

Unless the testimonial is with us because that's who he will be playing for?!
I'd take Harrison. No nonsense forward who has played in some big games and will be on significantly less that crabtree and huby.
